Versatile Club Employer of Record in Bengaluru is seeking a Director of Design to lead and elevate its design function from Bangalore. This is a rare player-coach role: you will own the craft, stay hands‑on, and build a team that raises the bar with every hire.

You will shape how insurance products are bought, sold, and serviced for thousands of users, working directly with US leadership on genuine, unsolved problems.

Qualifications

• Hands-on design leadership with ability to stay close to craft.
• Strong B2B SaaS design experience; B2B2C exposure is a plus.
• Experience managing a team of 4–6 designers with a hiring track record.
• Demonstrated strategic thinking and ability to shape product opportunities.
• Experience working with US companies or readiness to operate in a US product culture.
• A portfolio showing clean, modern desktop SaaS work with clear patterns and impact.

What We Are Looking For

• Proven hands-on design leadership: you enjoy the craft and intend to stay close to it
• Strong B2B SaaS design experience (required); B2B2C exposure is a plus
• Experience managing a team of 4 to 6 designers with a strong hiring track record
• Demonstrated strategic thinking: a history of spotting, shaping, and honing product opportunities
• Experience working with US companies, or strong motivation and readiness to operate in a US product culture
• A portfolio that shows clean, modern desktop SaaS work with clear patterns, a considered aesthetic, and concrete impact callouts. The portfolio itself should feel thoughtfully designed.
