• Strong track record in leadership, research, and innovation.
• Experience with AI/Cloud/Network security and related domains.
• Industry collaboration and grants experience preferred.

Job Description:

We are seeking an accomplished and dynamic academic leader for the position of Director – Cyber Security to provide strategic, academic, research, and administrative leadership for the Cyber Security domain within the School of Computer Science and Information Technology.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Academic & Strategic Leadership

• Develop and implement strategic plans for the Cyber Security domain aligned with the University's vision and institutional goals.
• Lead the development, review, and enhancement of academic programmes, curriculum, and courses in Cyber Security and related areas.
• Promote innovative teaching, experiential learning, interdisciplinary education, and industry-oriented academic practices.
• Ensure academic excellence, quality assurance, accreditation readiness, and compliance with applicable regulatory and institutional standards.
• Promote high-quality research, publications, consultancy, sponsored projects, and industry‑funded research in Cyber Security and allied areas.
• Encourage faculty and research scholars to undertake impactful research and secure research grants.
• Develop research initiatives in emerging areas such as AI Security, Cloud Security, Network Security, Digital Forensics, Cyber Threat Intelligence, Data Privacy, Ethical Hacking, and Application Security.
• Mentor faculty and research scholars and strengthen the research ecosystem of the School.

3. Cyber Security & Technology Leadership:

• Provide leadership for Cyber Security laboratories, research infrastructure, cyber ranges, security tools, and technology-enabled learning environments.
• Support initiatives related to cybersecurity awareness, information security, data protection, and secure digital practices.
• Promote collaboration and innovation in emerging cybersecurity technologies and practices.
• Contribute to institutional initiatives related to cybersecurity, technology governance, and digital transformation.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Ph.D. in Cyber Security, Information Security, Computer Science, Network Security, or a closely related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant academic and/or industry experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership/administrative role.
• Minimum 6 publications in Scopus‑indexed journals/conferences.
• Successfully guided/co‑guided at least 2 research scholars/students.
• Demonstrated track record of academic excellence, research, innovation, and institutional/departmental leadership.
• Strong knowledge of emerging technologies and cybersecurity domains, including AI Security, Cloud Security, Network Security, Digital Forensics, Cyber Threat Intelligence, Data Privacy, and Application Security.
• Experience in industry collaboration, research grants, consultancy, sponsored projects, or large‑scale technology initiatives will be preferred.
