Job summary

Jubilant Ingrevia Limited in Gajraula seeks an Asst. Manager- Environment to ensure compliance with applicable environmental regulations and to implement the Environmental Framework across operations.

You will lead licensing, EMS maintenance, audits, and training for workers, coordinating with vendors and internal teams to manage permits, renewals, and reporting obligations.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech in Chemical/Environmental fields or ME/MTech/MSc in related area.
• 5-6 years of experience in environment for large-scale chemical or API units.
• Strong knowledge of EMS and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Prepare amendments for licenses and renewals (CTE, CTO, Hazardous Waste, EC).
• Compile data and prepare CTE/CTO applications for product mix and biomedical waste renewals.
• Submit compliance documents for CTE, CTO and hazardous waste authorizations.
• Oversee groundwater NOC renewals; collect data and ensure GWD compliances.
• Maintain EMS daily activities and ensure operations meet regulations.
• Train staff on environmental programs and respond to EMS inquiries.
• Conduct regular environmental audits and generate state-compliant reports.
• Develop and implement environmental strategies to reduce contaminants.
• Review and improve environmental policies; manage budget and timelines.
• Coordinate with vendors for monitoring; prepare for regulatory/third-party audits.

The Structure

Job Summary

• To ensure compliances with all applicable environment statutory regulations


• Responsible to implement Environment Framework

Job Responsibilities

• Application preparation for Amendment in licenses (CTE, CTO and Hazardous Waste Authorization/EC)


• Data compilation and Preparation of CTE/CTO application under product mix and Biomedical Waste authorization renewal application


• Compliance submission for CTE, CTO and Hazardous Waste Authorization)


• Ground water NOC renewal application, Data collection and compilation, UPGWD compliances


• Oversee daily activities to maintain environmental management system (EMS).


• Ensure that industrial operations are in compliance with local, state and federal environmental regulations.


• Impart training to industrial employees and workers on environmental programs and policies.


• Respond to inquiries and concerns related to EMS.


• Perform regular environmental audits to monitor emissions, contaminations and damages.


• Generate environmental reports and maintain as per state regulations.


• Work with team to develop effective environmental strategies to reduce contaminations.


• Review and recommend improvements to existing environmental strategies.


• Investigate environmental incidents and develop action plans.


• Oversee pollution control programs and develop waste treatment and recycling procedures.


• Follow and enforce environmental policies and procedures.


• Develop budget and timelines for environmental operations and develop cost reduction initiatives while still maintaining quality.


• Stay updated with environmental trends and legislations.


• Monthly BPR Preparation, Monthly PPR Preparation and presentation, Monthly legal reports


• Hazardous waste authorization compliance


• Environmental Monitoring and Reporting with 3rd Party


• Environment Clearance(EC) compliance


• Prepare Annual Form II (Biomedical Waste Return)/Form V (Environment Statement)/ Fly Ash Returns/ Annual Return Form IV


• Annual data collection and file for CWC Declaration


• Unit/Business/Function Review Meetings


• Audit preparation (Sustainability, IMS, RC, Energy Audit) - Data compilation and presentation


• Regulatory Audits and Inspections


• Customer Audits and Inspections


• Create Job Order for scheduled work and new work as and when required


• Coordination with vendors and dept. for environment monitoring


• Self-assessment/Gap Assessment as applicable

The Person

Educational Qualifications

B.E./B.Tech-Chemical/Env, M.E/M.Tech, MSc-M.Tech- Chemical /Environment

Experience

5-6 Years of experience in Environment in large scale chemical / API unit

Key Competencies

• Environment Management System in chemical industries. EP Rules and other legal compliances.


• Environment laws and its compliances as per chemical/pharma sector.


• Environment Department Capex and Projects execution.


• Good analytical and trouble shooting skills.
