Job summary

• Educational Qualifications: Diploma – Chemical Engineering.
• Experience: Minimum 4 to 5 years of overall experience in Batch Chemical Process plant.
• Key competencies/Skills: Knowledge of chemical reactions, safety protocols, and basic troubleshooting.
• Operating knowledge of batch chemical process and chemical manufacturing unit operations.
• Working knowledge of Reactors, Autoclave, filters, distillation columns, pumps and valves.
• Knowledge of DCS / PLC based plant operation & control systems in plants.
• Ability to read and follow SOPs and batch records.
• Adherence to quality & Safety norms.
• Knowledge of emergency handling and hazardous materials.
• Knowledge of MSDS, HIRA.
• Proficient in MS Office applications
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Operate reactors, distillation units and other process equipment as per SOPs and instructions.
• Monitor process parameters and record data as per GMP and maintain logbooks and shift reports.
• Handle raw materials safely and ensure RM availability per daily requirement.
• Coordinate with maintenance for troubleshooting and upkeep.
• Maintain 5S & TPM in the plant and ensure safety practices.

The Structure:

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled, experienced and safety conscious process chemist to safely & efficiently control the machinery and equipment used in our Fine Chemical manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in batch chemical processes. This role involves monitoring process parameters, handling raw materials, and performing routine quality checks to ensure product consistency and compliance with all safety and operational standards. The role demands flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.

Job Responsibilities:

• Operate reactors, distillation units, and other process equipment as BPR/WI/SOP & instruction of the SIC, ensuring adherence to production schedules and protocols.
• Monitor process parameters (temperature, pressure, flow, pH, etc.) and record data accurately as per cGMP . Ma intain all the logbooks and shift reports.
• Handle raw materials, intermediates, and finished products safely. Ensure availability of RM as per daily requirement & receiving the raw material from the stores.
• Perform in-process checks and report deviations immediately.
• Maintain housekeeping, proper use of PPEs and follow GMP & EHS guidelines.
• To maintain online BPRs and GMP documents regularly.
• Ensuring strict adherence to the work permit system.
• To co-ordinate with fitter for any maintenance jobs/ troubleshooting.
• Operation and cleaning of equipment’s used in the process area and record the same in respective BPR/BCR/documents.
• Loading / unloading of the material from drums, tanks and receivers as per the instructions & adhering to BPR/SOP.
• In-process sampling & communication of process sample planning to IPQC, as per instructions of shift in-charge and with all necessary safety.
• Tomaintain 5S & TPM in the plant.
• To give the Safety Talk, to concerned casual labourer regarding the plant related activities planned in the shift.
• Planned transfer/unloading of raw materials and dispatch of the finish goods.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
• In addition to the above jobs, the management may assign any other responsibility as and when required
