Job summary

Jubilant Ingrevia Limited is seeking a Senior Engineer – Mechanical/AM-Mechanical to join the Gajraula, UP site. The role focuses on safe, reliable operation of plant equipment, and advancing maintenance practices to support production goals.

The incumbent will drive preventive/predictive maintenance, CAPEX project execution, and contractor coordination, with emphasis on TPM/6S and asset management. BE/B.Tech in Mechanical required with 5–7 years in chemical/pharma plants.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5–7 years of experience in maintaining plant and utility operations in chemical/pharma sectors.
• Experience with TPM and 6S is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of mechanical equipment through preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance practices.
• Improve equipment reliability and plant availability by conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
• Plan and execute plant shutdowns, turnarounds, and maintenance activities within defined timelines and budgets.
• Responsible for plant's Engineering CAPEX Planning/Budgeting/Execution and one time. Manage mechanical CAPEX projects, including planning, execution, commissioning, and performance monitoring.
• Supervise contractors and vendors to ensure quality work execution while maintaining safety and statutory compliance.
• Maintain maintenance records, LN/CMMS data, spare parts inventory, and technical documentation for effective asset management.
• Responsible for driving management programs such as TPM and 6S.
• Coordinate with vendor, contactor, process, safety and other service departments.

Job Summary

Experienced Mechanical Engineer with 5–6 years of expertise in Chemical/Pharmaceutical manufacturing, responsible for ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operation of plant equipment through preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance. The role involves equipment reliability improvement, shutdown management, CAPEX project execution, contractor coordination, and compliance with EHS and statutory requirements. The incumbent will drive operational excellence, maximize equipment availability, and support continuous improvement initiatives to achieve business and production objectives.

Job Responsibilities

• Ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of mechanical equipment through effective preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance practices.
• Improve equipment reliability and plant availability by conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions. Responsible for all kinds of troubleshooting as required for smooth running of utility equipment.
• Plan and execute plant shutdowns, turnarounds, and maintenance activities within defined timelines and budgets.
• Responsible for plant's Engineering CAPEX Planning/Budgeting/Execution and one time. Manage mechanical CAPEX projects, including planning, execution, commissioning, and performance monitoring.
• Supervise contractors and vendors to ensure quality work execution while maintaining safety and statutory compliance.
• Maintain maintenance records, LN/CMMS data, spare parts inventory, and technical documentation for effective asset management.
• Responsible for driving management programs such as TPM and 6S.
• Daily log book checking and record maintaining of utility area. Responsible for the maintenance of activities in the plant.
• Responsible for ensuring safety in all aspects in maintenance activities. Responsible for reducing the downtime by optimum solution.
• Responsible for RCA for each unplanned breakdown.
• Coordinate with vendor, contactor, process, safety and other service departments.

The Person

A mechanical maintenance professional with 5–6 years of experience in chemical or pharmaceutical plants, capable of independently handling maintenance, shutdowns, CAPEX execution, reliability improvement, safety compliance, and contractor management while ensuring high plant availability and operational excellence.
