Job summary

HG Insights in Mumbai seeks a Principal Data & AI Product Manager to define and drive complex, multi-team product deliverables, leveraging data and AI to create business value.

You will lead cross-functional work with engineering, data science, design, and marketing, translate user needs into detailed specs, and mentor junior PMs while ensuring privacy and ethical standards.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of progressive product leadership experience defining and launching 0-to-1 and 1-to-N enterprise data/AI products at scale.
• Strong understanding of data science principles, ML algorithms, and AI technologies.
• Experience collaborating with RevTech leaders or similar data-driven tech companies.
• Experience with large datasets, data pipelines, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.

What You’ll Do:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Principal Data & AI Product Manager to define and drive complex, multi team and department product deliverables. You will be at the forefront of innovation, leveraging the power of data and AI to solve complex user problems and create significant business value. You will serve as an internal and external thought leader for this product area, responsible for setting the agenda for how HG Insights leverages data and AI to transform the business. You will work closely with engineering, data science, design, and marketing teams to bring cutting-edge solutions to life.

What You’ll Be Responsible For:

• Conduct thorough market research, user interviews, and data analysis to identify unmet needs and opportunities for data and AI-driven solutions.
• Lead the dissection of complex, ambiguous, and cross-functional problems into clear, phased product strategies that deliver measurable customer and business outcomes.
• Drive cross-organizational alignment on investment and prioritization, balancing trade-offs between competing priorities across product portfolios and business units.
• Transform user needs and business requirements into detailed product specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria for engineering and data science teams.
• Effectively prioritize features and initiatives based on business value, technical feasibility, and user impact, ensuring a well-defined and groomed product backlog.
• Serve as a subject matter expert and primary product voice for executive reviews and high-stakes customer and partner engagements.
• Engage with customers frequently to share the roadmap, collect feedback, and develop a deep understanding of their needs and challenges.
• Continuously research and evaluate emerging trends and technologies in data science, machine learning, and AI to identify opportunities for innovation.
• Mentor and coach Product Managers across the organization on data-driven product strategy, technical fluency, and product execution best practices.
• Ensure that all data and AI products are developed and deployed with a strong focus on data privacy, security, and ethical considerations.

What You’ll Need:

• 12+ years of progressive product leadership experience, including successfully defining and launching 0-to-1 and 1-to-N enterprise data/AI products at scale.
• Strong understanding of data science principles, machine learning algorithms, and AI technologies.
• Experience collaborating with or within companies like ZoomInfo, 6sense, Demandbase, or similar RevTech leaders.
• Experience working with large datasets, data pipelines, and cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights.
• A customer-centric mindset with a passion for solving user problems.
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across diverse teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field. A Master's degree or MBA is highly preferred. .
