Job summary

Mancer Consulting Services seeks a Director Cloud & Infrastructure Architect to lead enterprise-scale infrastructure across AWS, Azure, GCP, hybrid cloud, and datacenters in Chennai/Bangalore. This hands-on role defines target-state architecture and drives automation, IaC, and AI-enabled operations.

You will mentor senior engineers, steer SRE practices, and collaborate with executives to ensure resilient platforms at scale. This position demands deep cloud, networking, and automation expertise.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in Cloud, Infrastructure, Platform Eng, or SRE.
• Minimum 8 years in Architecture, Platform Engineering, or Senior SRE roles.
• Experience with global organizations supporting multiple customers or business units.
• Hands-on with AWS, Azure, and/or GCP.
• Strong IaC experience with Terraform/OpenTofu.
• Production Kubernetes experience (EKS, AKS, or GKE).
• Strong automation skills using Python, Go, or Bash.
• Excellent communication with engineers and executives.

Responsibilities

• Architect enterprise-scale infra across cloud and datacenters.
• Design highly available, secure, scalable cloud platforms.
• Lead architecture decisions balancing performance, resilience, security, scalability, and cost.
• Design hybrid networking using Direct Connect, ExpressRoute, Transit Gateway, SD-WAN, Cisco ACI, VMware NSX, Arista, or Juniper.
• Build Infrastructure-as-Code solutions using Terraform/OpenTofu, supported by GitOps and CI/CD pipelines.
• Drive automation-first operations using GitHub Actions, ArgoCD/Flux, Python/Go, and modern practices.
• Champion SRE by defining SLOs, SLIs, error budgets, incident management, and disaster recovery.
• Design observability platforms using Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Datadog, Splunk, or ELK.
• Build AI-assisted operational capabilities including anomaly detection and root cause analysis.
• Mentor senior engineers while serving as escalation point.

About the Role

We're looking for a Director Cloud & Infrastructure Architect to lead the architecture, automation, and reliability of enterprise-scale infrastructure across AWS, Azure, GCP, hybrid cloud, and global datacenter environments .

This is a hands‑on technical leadership role , not a people-management-only position. You'll define target-state architecture while remaining deeply involved in solving complex production challenges. Automation, Infrastructure-as-Code, AI-driven operations, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) are core to how we build and operate our platforms.

What You'll Do

• Architect enterprise-scale infrastructure across AWS, Azure, GCP, hybrid cloud, and datacenters.
• Design highly available, secure, and scalable cloud platforms using industry best practices and Well-Architected frameworks.
• Lead architecture decisions balancing performance, resilience, security, scalability, and cost.
• Design hybrid networking using Direct Connect, ExpressRoute, Transit Gateway, SD-WAN, Cisco ACI, VMware NSX, Arista, or Juniper technologies.

What We're Looking For

• 1518+ years of experience in Cloud, Infrastructure, Platform Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years in Architecture, Platform Engineering, or Senior SRE roles.
• Experience working with global organizations supporting multiple customers or business units .
• Deep hands‑on expertise across AWS, Azure, and/or GCP.
• Solid experience designing enterprise networking and hybrid cloud connectivity.
• Advanced Infrastructure-as-Code expertise with Terraform/OpenTofu .
• Production Kubernetes experience (EKS, AKS, or GKE).
• Strong automation skills using Python, Go, or Bash .
• Proven experience leading major production incidents, defining SLOs, and improving operational reliability.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both engineering teams and executive stakeholders.
