Job summary

Axtria in India is seeking a senior BI leader to drive data warehousing and analytics initiatives for Lifesciences/Pharmaceutical clients. The role involves leading design, architecture, and delivery across multiple streams and clients, with a focus on scalable BI solutions using Qlik, Tableau, and AWS services.

The ideal candidate has deep BI experience, pharma data familiarity, and excellent client-facing communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of pharma domain experience.
• At least 15 years hands-on BI and hosting tool experience.
• Must know at least two BI tools from the list (QlikView/Qlik Sense/Tableau/MicroStrategy/Spotfire).
• Strong UI design awareness, report modeling, performance tuning, and SQL expertise.

Responsibilities

• Lead technology design and implementation of complex reporting and BI projects.
• Manage project portfolios: obtain briefs, translate to tasks, and develop timeline plans.
• Maintain high quality standards, monitor accuracy and quality of team work.

Position Summary

This position is part of the technical leadership in data warehousing and Business Intelligence areas. It requires a professional who can work on multiple project streams and clients for better business decision making, especially in the Lifesciences/Pharmaceutical domain.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead technology design and implementation of complex reporting and BI projects.
• Use a range of BI and hosting technologies such as AWS stack (Redshift, EC2), QlikView, Qlik Sense, Tableau, MicroStrategy, Spotfire.
• Manage project portfolios: obtain accurate briefs from clients, translate them into prioritized tasks, and develop timeline plans.
• Maintain high standards of quality and thoroughness, monitor accuracy and quality of team work.
• Identify potential risks early and develop mitigation plans.
• Analyze data, problems, and situations with a logical, systematic approach and guide team members.
• Manage client relationships and expectations independently, delivering results with excellent communication skills.

Work Experience

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the pharma domain.
• Technical: at least 15 years of hands‑on experience with BI and hosting tools; must have working knowledge of at least two of the following: QlikView, Qlik Sense, Tableau, MicroStrategy, Spotfire.
• Aware of UI design, report modeling, performance tuning, and regression testing.
• Basic expertise with MS Excel; advanced expertise with SQL.
• Functional: experience with pharma data sources (IMS, Veeva, Symphony, Cegedim, etc.) and business processes such as market definition, segmentation, sales crediting, activity‑metrics calculation.
