Qualifications

• Familiarity with SDLC and Agile methodologies; strong analytical and communication skills.

Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Software Engineer to join our product engineering team. The ideal candidate will contribute to the design, development, testing, and maintenance of modern web applications using Angular, Node.js, PostgreSQL, and DBR technologies. This role provides an excellent opportunity to work within an Agile environment while learning from experienced engineers and contributing to business-critical software products.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain responsive web applications using Angular.
• Build and enhance RESTful APIs and backend services using Node.js.
• Design, write, optimize, and maintain PostgreSQL database objects, queries, and stored procedures.
• Contribute to the development and support of solutions built on the DBR technology stack.
• Participate in feature development, bug fixing, code reviews, and testing activities.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, UX Designers, QA Engineers, and Senior Developers to deliver high-quality software.
• Troubleshoot application issues and perform root cause analysis for defects.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following engineering best practices.
• Support CI/CD deployment activities and participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Continuously learn new technologies and contribute ideas for process and product improvements.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 0-2 years of software development experience (internships and academic projects considered).
• Working knowledge of:
• Angular (v12+ preferred)
• TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3
• Node.js and Express.js
• PostgreSQL database development and SQL query optimization
• REST API development and integration
• Git version control
• Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications (Good To Have)

• Working knowledge of Python.
• Understanding of cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
• Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker.
• Familiarity with automated testing frameworks.
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

Experience working with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot
