Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking a Digital Technology Specialist - Software Engineering to lead SAP PM and CS solutions across multiple ERP projects. The role focuses on end-to-end process ownership, interfaces, and cross-module integration to governance and SOX compliance.

You will collaborate with global teams, drive standardization, and promote best practices while maintaining master data and ensuring high-quality deliverables in a complex SAP environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering/information technology or related field.
• Minimum 6 years of SAP ERP implementations, with at least 5 years in SAP PM and CS.
• Proficiency in maintaining and uploading master data for repair (materials, equipment, functional locations, task lists, work centers, customers).
• Proficiency in IDOC processing and intercompany processing.
• Knowledge of S4 HANA PM and CS area is preferred.
• Experience in Sales and Distribution and Project System modules is preferred.
• Minimum two end-to-end SAP ERP projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of integrated SAP solutions across ERP projects.
• Own end-to-end Plant Maintenance and CS module solutions for business processes and interfaces.
• Interface with external systems and cross-module integration.
• Ensure quality of solutions and compliance with governance and SOX requirements.

Partner with the best

Reporting to Director - Digital Operations, the Application Operations Engineer of SAP Plant Maintenance & Customer Services module will be responsible for SAP solutions for all business processes around Maintenance and Repair business. The individual will collaborate with SAP Program & Operations teams across various P&L’s and geographical locations to promote process standardization, synergy and compliance with local and Global statutory regulations. Long term strategic planning & contribution to the overall governance and compliance strategy is key part of this role.

As a Digital Technology Specialist - Software Engineering

• Lead the delivery of integrated SAP solutions for multiple ERP projects across Baker Hughes businesses while working with Program Managers, functional owners, service providers and other members of SAP Dev ops team
• Owns complete Plant Maintenance & Customer Services module solutions for end-to-end business process, which includes prototyping, blueprinting, design, build, test, and documentation and post go-live support, including interfaces, cross module integration.
• Accountable for Plant Maintenance & Customer Services related interfaces with external system & cross module integration with other SAP modules
• Complete accountability of quality of solution delivered by program and operations team
• Drive SAP best practices standards across Baker Hughes SAP Landscape. Ensure efficient and maintainable solution.
• Proactively engage stakeholders to identify opportunities for business process optimization
• Ensure the delivery of Stat/SOX compliant business solutions
• Continuously monitor for new developments in SAP technology and explore the opportunities in ES SAP landscape for optimization of business process
• Maintain cross functional business process domain knowledge
• Implement industry best practices as deemed applicable to enhance capabilities and effectiveness
• Maintain effective relationships across a distributed functional and global team in matrix environment to build an integrated solution.
• Assist leadership team in building multi-year ERP vision/strategy for the organization by aligning SAP technology with business Goals

To be successful in this role you will:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering/information technology and related fields
• Minimum 6 years of experience in SAP ERP implementations out of which 5 years of experience in SAP PM and CS domain
• Proficiency in maintaining and uploading master data for repair such as Materials, Equipment’s, Functional Locations, Task Lists, Work Centers, Customers etc.
• Proficiency in intercompany processing through IDOC processing.
• Proficiency in handling the Field Repair Scenarios using resource related billing.
• Below skills are mandatory
• Proficiency in Reactive maintenance Processes
• Proficiency in Preventive maintenance Processes.
• Proficiency in Warranty Management processes
• Proficiency in Maintenance Plans Processes.
• Good Knowledge of different Material Movements involved in Equipment lifecycle management process
• Knowledge of Batch Job Processing and working on different enhancements in SAP PM area is required.
• Knowledge of S4 HANA PM and CS area is preferred.
• Knowledge/experience of Sales and distribution is required
• Knowledge/experience of Project System module is preferred.
• Minimum two end-to-end projects in implementing SAP ERP
• At least 1 years of functional experience in respective domains
