Baker Hughes is seeking a Digital Technology Experienced Professional - Software Engineering in Pune, India. The role focuses on designing and implementing software for energy-related products, with emphasis on Golang and embedded Linux.

You will contribute to complex architectural engagements, develop components in a fast-paced, agile environment, and collaborate across teams to ensure robust software delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or STEM with at least 4 years of professional experience.
• Strong proficiency in Golang, with solid knowledge of C/C++ and Bash scripting.
• Experience with Embedded Linux, Linux internals, IPC, and system programming.

You will be responsible for programming a component, feature and or feature set. Works independently and contributes to the immediate team and to other teams across business. You will also contribute to design discussions.

As a Software Engineer, you will be Responsible:

• Being responsible for providing individual contribution developing, and evolving software in a fast paced and agile development environment using the latest software development technologies and infrastructure

• Design, develop, and maintain applications and services using Golang (Go).

• Develop software components for Embedded Linux platforms.

• Implement and optimize system-level applications, daemons, and services.

• Work with Linux device drivers, system interfaces, and hardware abstraction layers.

• Integrate software with embedded hardware and peripheral devices.

• Debug and troubleshoot issues across software, firmware, and hardware layers.

• Optimize application performance, memory utilization, and system reliability.

• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards.

• Create technical documentation, design specifications, and test plans.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math). A minimum 4 years of professional experience.

Nice to Have

• NVIDIA Jetson platform experience.

• Experience working with connected devices and industrial systems.

• Knowledge of cybersecurity practices for embedded systems.
