Job summary

Baker Hughes seeks a Build & Release Engineer to drive efficient build, test and release processes across Digital Technology teams. You will collaborate with development and product teams to gather deployment requirements, profile builds, and automate tasks using CI/CD pipelines.

With 3+ years of experience and strong Kubernetes, Helm, and cloud skills, you will shape deployment strategies, ensure scalability and reliability, and contribute to Lean/Agile practices within a global energy

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with minimum 3 years of professional experience.
• Bachelor education in Computer Science or Engineering.
• Assessing code; build applications locally.
• Experience with creating and maintaining automated build tools.
• In-depth knowledge of clustering, load balancing, high availability, and disaster recovery, auto scaling.
• ≥2 years of production experience designing, deploying, securing, and optimizing cloud services.
• Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Helm for container orchestration.
• Strong hands-on experience with GitHub Actions and CI/CD processes.
• Experience in Azure infra services and automating deployments.
• DevOps and IaC experience using Terraform and CloudFormation.
• In-depth knowledge of AWS services: EC2, ASG, S3, EBS, ELB, RDS, IAM, Route53, CloudWatch, EKS.
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and IaC using Terraform/CloudFormation.
• Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana; CI/CD tools like Jenkins.
• Understanding of networking concepts: DNS, DHCP, subnets, server load balancing, firewalls.

• Collaborate with development and product teams to gather infrastructure and deployment requirements.
• Profile build processes and identify bottlenecks.
• Write scripts to automate tasks; implement CI/CD build principles.
• Provide expertise in quality engineering, test planning and testing methodologies.
• Contribute to deployment strategy and planning with ideas; influence others.
• Apply SDLC and Lean/Agile/XP principles; CI, security, scalability, documentation, testing.
• Document procedures for building and deploying.

• Providing expertise in the quality engineering, test planning and testing methodology for a software project
• Helping businesses develop an overall strategy for deploying code. Contribute to planning and strategy with his/her ideas. Draw off experience in order to influence others
• Being expert at applying principles of SDLC and methodologies like Lean/Agile/XP, CI, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, refactoring and Testing Techniques.

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have Bachelor's Degree with minimum 3 years of professional experience.
• Have Bachelor's education in Computer Science or Engineering
• Have Assessing code, build applications locally on his/her own
• Have Experience with creating and maintaining automated build tools
• Have in-depth knowledge of Clustering, Load Balancing, High Availability, and Disaster Recovery, Auto Scaling
• Have At least 2+ years production experience providing hands-on technical expertise to design, deploy, secure, and optimize Cloud services
• Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Helm for container orchestration and application deployment
• Strong hands-on experience with GitHub Actions and CI/CD process
• Have an experience in Azure infra services and automating deployments.
• Have an experience working in DevOps and IaC using g Biceps and Cloud formation
• Have In-depth knowledge of implementing and supporting AWS based instances and services - EC2, ASG ,S3, EBS, ELB, RDS, IAM, Route53, CloudWatch, EKS
• Have Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes), Infrastructure-as-a-code (IaaC) using Terraform/CloudFormation
• Have Experience in Application & Infrastructure Monitoring Tools like Prometheus, Grafana, CI/CD tools like Jenkins
• Have Understanding on standard networking concept such as DNS, DHCP, subnets, Server Load Balancing, Firewalls
