Job summary

Alstom seeks a Digital Engineering Transformation Lead in Bengaluru to drive end-to-end development and deployment processes and to govern the Digital Experience toolchain, including IDP and CI/CD pipelines. You will harmonize architecture and tooling, promote adoption, and lead AI-enabled automation initiatives across global teams.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in digital engineering, platform engineering, product/program/portfolio management, or digital transformation leadership.
• Proven ability to manage multi-domain portfolios across architecture, tooling, infrastructure, and workflows.
• Experience working with global teams and multi-program environments in multinational settings.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycles, CI/CD, DevOps practices, and developer platforms.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional, global initiatives and manage stakeholders effectively.

Your future role

Could you be the full-time Digital Engineering Transformation Lead in Bangalore we’re looking for? Take on a new challenge and apply your digital engineering and leadership expertise in an exciting and transformative field. You’ll work alongside a collaborative and innovative team of professionals. You'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Alstom’s digital engineering landscape. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (architecture, IT, engineering, and operations), ensure alignment between processes and tools, and lead initiatives that drive efficiency, automation, and standardization. You’ll specifically take care of governing and aligning end-to-end development and deployment processes, but also ensuring the adoption and usability of digital experience tools.

We’ll look to you for:

• Ensuring Digital Experience practices align with Digital Architecture policies.
• Contributing to design reviews, delivery models, and framework definitions.
• Defining and governing end-to-end development and deployment processes.
• Owning and managing the Digital Experience toolchain, including Internal Developer Portals (IDP), CI/CD pipelines, ALM tools, and developer experience tooling.
• Driving consistency across product lines while supporting contextual flexibility.
• Ensuring the successful rollout, onboarding, and adoption of tools and processes.
• Acting as the voice of engineering teams to improve developer productivity, automation, and release reliability.
• Partnering with the Digital Academy to define upskilling paths and support role evolution.
• Leading engineering transformation initiatives and promoting AI-supported development and automation.
• Monitoring adoption, identifying friction points, and continuously improving usability.

Demonstrated ability to manage multi-domain digital portfolios across architecture, tooling, infrastructure, and workflows. Experience working with global teams and multi-program environments in multinational settings. Strong understanding of software development lifecycles, CI/CD, DevOps practices, and developer platforms. Proven ability to lead cross-functional, global initiatives and manage stakeholders effectively. Experience driving engineering transformation with a focus on adoption and usability. Strong communication, influence, and change management skills.
