Job summary

Western Hills Retirement Village, a Caring Place Healthcare Group Facility, seeks a Dietary Aide to support meal prep, setup, service and cleanup for residents, delivering timely, appetizing meals with compassion.

You will maintain a clean, safe dining area following infection control and HIPAA standards, assist residents with menu selections, and communicate positively with residents, families and team members as part of a supportive care‑driven culture.

Qualifications

• Reading, writing and communicating effectively in English.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and work independently.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Emotional resilience and compassion to work with elderly residents in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Support meal preparation, setup, service, and cleanup to ensure residents receive timely, appetizing meals.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary dining environment following infection control and HIPAA standards.
• Assist residents with menu selections and contribute to a calm, supportive dining experience.
• Communicate positively with residents, families, and team members and participate in required training.

Your Role as an Dietary Aide:

• Support meal preparation, setup, service, and cleanup to ensure residents receive timely, appetizing meals in appropriate portions.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary dining environment by following all infection control, safety, sanitation, and HIPAA standards.
• Assist residents with menu selections and contribute to a calm, supportive, and compassionate dining experience.
• Communicate positively with residents, families, and team members, participate in required training, and support team needs as assigned.

What Were Looking For:

• Minimum of a 10thgrade education with the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, work independently, and collaborate effectively as part of a team.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods; lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs; and perform routine movements throughout the shift.
• Emotional resilience and compassion to remain calm and supportive while working with elderly residents in a healthcare environment
