Job summary

Lifebridge Group is seeking staff for Food & Beverage Operations to support dining services in a residents' community setting. You will assist in restaurant setup, serve meals and drinks, and maintain clean service areas with a focus on courtesy and professionalism.

Responsibilities include hygiene compliance, equipment handling, and collaboration with kitchen teams to ensure timely and quality service for residents and guests.

Role & responsibilities:

• 1. Food & Beverage Operations
  • Assist in smooth operation of dining services, including restaurant setup, service, and closing.
  • Support the Steward in following SOPs to maintain service efficiency and quality.
  • Serve food and beverages to residents and guests courteously and professionally.
  • Maintain clean and organized service areas; clear soiled dishes promptly.
  • Prepare mise-en-place as per restaurant standards.
  • Operate and maintain service equipment, including Bain-marie, safely and correctly.
  • Support F&B operations during special events, banquets, and outdoor catering.
• 2. Resident Relations
  • Greet residents and guests with warmth and professionalism.
  • Attend to resident requests promptly to enhance their dining experience.
  • Promote a positive dining environment by being attentive and service-oriented.
• 3. Hygiene & Food Safety
  • Follow all health, hygiene, and food safety standards during food handling and service.
  • Participate in routine and deep cleaning of restaurant and service areas.
  • Ensure personal hygiene, grooming, and uniform standards are met at all times.
  • Handle crockery, cutlery, and service equipment with care and sanitation protocols.
  • Thoroughly wash and sanitize all utensils, cookware, cutlery, and kitchen equipment after each use.
  • Clean kitchen surfaces, sinks, floors, and dining areas in line with the prescribed cleaning schedule.
  • Operate and maintain dishwashing machines (where available) as per guidelines to ensure efficiency and hygiene.
  • Maintain strict hygiene standards in food storage and preparation areas to prevent contamination.
• 4. Inventory & Supplies
  • Assist in monitoring stock levels of service items and notify supervisors when supplies are low.
  • Help in minimizing wastage during service through careful handling.
  • Support periodic inventory checks and reporting.
• 5. Training & Development
  • Participate in training sessions to enhance food and beverage service skills.
  • Support team members during service, offering assistance where required.
  • Engage in self-learning to continuously improve service delivery.
• 6. Communication & Collaboration
  • Maintain open communication with team members and supervisors for smooth service.
  • Coordinate with kitchen and other departments to ensure timely delivery of meals.
  • Share feedback from residents with the team to improve service quality.
• 7. Other Duties
  • Perform additional responsibilities assigned by the F&B Supervisor or management.
  • Support upkeep and maintenance of restaurant furniture, tools, and service equipment.
• 8. Dining Service Support
  • Prepare dining tables or buffet counters prior to meal service.
  • Ensure timely refilling of water, condiments, and other dining essentials.
  • Assist in clearing tables and maintaining cleanliness of the dining area after meals.
• 9. Waste Management
  • Segregate kitchen and dining waste (wet, dry, recyclable) in line with the communitys waste management policy.
  • Dispose of food waste safely and ensure garbage bins are cleaned and sanitized regularly.
  • Support the kitchen team in implementing sustainability and waste reduction practices.

Preferred candidate profile:

• Prior experience in food and beverage service, preferably in hotels, hospitals, or senior living communities.
• Basic knowledge of food handling, service etiquette, and hygiene practices.
• Familiarity with restaurant setups, equipment, and service standards.
