Doiter Casting in Coimbatore, India, is seeking an experienced Production Manager to oversee die casting operations, drive production targets, and ensure quality and process stability. The role requires strong leadership in manpower planning, maintenance coordination, and strict adherence to safety and process controls.

The ideal candidate will have a Diploma / ITI / degree in Mechanical or Production Engineering with substantial HPDC exposure and knowledge of aluminium/zinc die casting.

Competenze

• Diploma / ITI / Degree in Mechanical or Production Engineering.
• 38 years of experience in die casting operations.
• Experience in High Pressure Die Casting (HPDC) preferred.
• Knowledge of aluminium / zinc die casting processes.
• Knowledge of casting defects, process parameters, and quality standards.

• Supervise daily die casting operations and achieve production targets.
• Monitor cycle time, machine downtime, rejection, and productivity.
• Ensure proper utilization of manpower, machines, and materials.
• Coordinate with maintenance for machine breakdowns and preventive maintenance.
• Ensure products meet specified quality standards and customer requirements.
• Ensure adherence to process parameters and inspection standards.
• Monitor and control parameters such as metal temperature, die temperature, injection pressure, and cycle time.
• Ensure proper die setting, die lubrication, and machine setup.
• Maintain process consistency and reduce casting defects.
• Allocate work and monitor operator performance.
• Ensure proper shift handover and production reporting.
• Train operators on process requirements and safe working practices.
• Ensure compliance with workplace safety procedures and PPE requirements.
• Ensure proper housekeeping and 5S practices in the production area.
• Report unsafe conditions, incidents, and near misses.
• Maintain daily production, rejection, and downtime reports.
• Monitor OEE, productivity, and process performance.
