Job summary

MAN TRUCK & BUS INDIA PVT. LTD is seeking a qualified test engineer with 3–5 years of hands‑on experience in automotive ECU diagnostics, UDS testing, and cybersecurity validation.

The role requires strong knowledge of UDS protocol (ISO 14229), CAN communication, DoIP, and experience with Vector/CANoe tools. You will develop and execute test cases for diagnostics, ECU flashing, and DoIP security features, analyze diagnostic logs, and collaborate with cross-functional teams across software,

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in UDS diagnostic testing and diagnostic log analysis.
• Experience in ECU testing, flashing, diagnostics, and DoIP validation.
• Strong knowledge of UDS protocol (ISO 14229), CAN communication, DoIP, and diagnostic response handling.
• Worked with UDS Service 0x29 Authentication and Service 0x84 Secured Data Transmission.
• Working experience with Vector/CANoe and dSPACE tool chain for diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Perform UDS diagnostic and cybersecurity testing for automotive ECUs on truck and bus platforms.
• Develop and execute test cases for diagnostics, ECU flashing, DoIP, and diagnostic security features.
• Analyze diagnostic logs / traces, debug defects, and support root-cause analysis.
• Validate diagnostic requirements as per ISO 14229, CAN/CAN-FD, DoIP, and OEM specifications.
• Collaborate with software, system, validation, cybersecurity, and architecture teams for issue closure.

Job description

Qualification

BE / ME / B-Tech / M-Tech: Electrical / Electronics, Mechatronics, Automotive Electronics, Computer Science, Embedded Systems, or related discipline.

Experience

3 to 5 years

• Hands-on experience in UDS diagnostic testing and diagnostic log analysis.
• Experience in ECU testing, flashing, diagnostics, and communication validation.
• Strong knowledge of UDS protocol (ISO 14229), CAN communication, DoIP, and diagnostic response handling.
• Worked with UDS Service 0x29 Authentication and Service 0x84 Secured Data Transmission.
• Working experience with Vector tool chain: CANoe / CANalyzer.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with flexibility for international travel, e.g. 3 months.
• Working experience with dSPACE tool chain: ControlDesk and AutomationDesk.
• Programming / scripting skills, preferably Python and/or CAPL.
• Knowledge of AUTOSAR diagnostics, Ethernet diagnostics, and vehicle-level integration.
• Knowledge of automotive cybersecurity testing concepts and ISO 21434 practices.
