Job summary

Mahindra and Mahindra Limited seeks an accomplished corporate communications professional to lead storytelling across Group companies. You will craft thought leadership, executive messaging and compelling narratives that align with Mahindra’s purpose, connecting strategic priorities to broader industry conversations.

You will edit content, sharpen messaging and prepare leaders for media interactions, while maintaining strict standards of accuracy and clarity in a fast-paced, multi-business

Qualifications

• 8–12+ years of experience in business journalism, editorial, corporate communications, PR, content or executive communications.
• Strong experience writing for senior business leaders.
• Experience working with journalists and understanding what makes a story newsworthy.
• Solid understanding of business, industry, technology and current affairs.

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

Group Storytelling & Media

• Develop a strong understanding of Mahindra’s businesses, strategies, innovations and impact.
• Proactively identify differentiated, newsworthy stories across Group companies.
• Partner with CEOs, leadership and communications teams to build compelling narratives linked to the broader Mahindra purpose.
• Develop media pitches, story angles, backgrounders and briefing materials, working with media teams to drive earned coverage.
• Track media and industry conversations to position Mahindra perspectives on relevant issues.

Thought Leadership & Executive Writing

• Develop compelling thought leadership for Group and business leaders across articles, speeches, interviews, social media and other platforms.
• Build distinctive leadership voices and perspectives based on individual expertise and communication styles.
• Translate complex business, technology, economic and societal topics into clear, engaging narratives.
• Prepare leaders for high-profile media interactions and speaking engagements.

Business Narrative Building

• Partner with businesses to understand strategic priorities and articulate what differentiates them.
• Develop narrative frameworks for businesses, launches, milestones and strategic announcements.
• Elevate business stories into broader industry conversations relevant to India, global markets and society.

Research & Intelligence

• Stay abreast of business, economic, technology, policy and industry developments.
• Strengthen narratives with relevant data, insights, case studies and global perspectives.
• Identify emerging conversations where Mahindra leaders and businesses can credibly participate.

Editorial Excellence

• Serve as an editorial gatekeeper for Group Communications, sharpening content developed internally and by agencies.
• Ensure communication is clear, credible, concise and compelling, with minimal corporate jargon.
• Maintain high standards of factual accuracy, grammar and storytelling quality.

Experience

8–12+ years of experience in business journalism, editorial, corporate communications, PR, content or executive communications.

• Strong experience in writing for senior business leaders.
• Experience in working with journalists and understanding what makes a story newsworthy.
• Strong understanding of business, industry, technology and current affairs.
• Experience of working across multiple sectors or industries would be an advantage.

• Be comfortable engaging with CEOs, senior executives, journalists and subject-matter experts.
• Have strong editorial judgement and the confidence to challenge weak narratives.
• Be able to simplify complex subjects without losing their substance.
• Be equally comfortable writing a 1,500-word thought-leadership article, a 500-word media pitch, a CEO speech or a 100-word LinkedIn post.
• Be proactive, entrepreneurial and comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-business environment.
