Job summary

Qualcomm India Private Limited is seeking a Hardware Engineer with strong ASIC/DFT experience to plan, design, verify, and test electronic systems and related debug flows in an international team. Role spans Digital/Analog/RF/optical subsystems with emphasis on testability and tooling expertise.

The ideal candidate holds advanced degrees or significant industry experience in ASIC/DFT, with hands-on use of Genus, Tessent,SpyGlass, or similar tools, and solid scripting capabilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years experience in ASIC/DFT.
• In depth knowledge of DFT concepts.
• Hands-on experience in scan insertion and ATPG, coverage analysis.
• Experience with timing fixes for violations; scripting in Perl or shell.
• Knowledge of RTL lint tools and ATPG tools.
• Familiarity with Genus, TetraMax/DFTMax, Cadence Encounter Test is a plus.
• Ability to work in an international, dynamic team and learn new tools.

Responsibilities

• Minimum of 3+ years experience in ASIC/DFT.
• Define and implement DFT/test strategies for ASIC designs.
• Perform scan insertion, ATPG, and coverage analysis.
• Define test mode timing constraints and provide corrective actions.
• Utilize scripting (Perl, Shell) to automate flows and checks.
• Simulate test vectors and verify test coverage.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and adapt to new tools.

Job Description

• Minimum of 3+ years experience in the area of ASIC/DFT
• In depth knowledge of DFT concepts
• In depth knowledge and hands on experience in scan insertion, ATPG, coverage analysis, Transition delay test coverage analysis
• Expertise in test mode timing constraints definition, knowledge in providing timing fixes/corrective actions for timing violations-Expertise in scripting languages such as perl, shell, etc.
• Experience in simulating test vectors
• Knowledge of equivalence check, DFT DRC rules both in RTL lint tool (like spyglass) and ATPG tool like (Tessent, TK, TetraMax)
• Working experience in Genus, Synopsys TetraMax/DFTMax and Cadence Encounter Test is a plus
• Ability to work in an international team, dynamic environment
• Ability to learn and adapt to new tools and methodologies.
• Ability to do multi-tasking & work on several high priority designs in parallel.
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Excellent communication and team work skills and good English is required
