Job summary

Persistent is seeking a DevOps/SRE Architect to lead the design and implementation of secure, scalable cloud infrastructure for next-generation cloud-native platforms. The role demands deep expertise in AWS, Kubernetes, IaC, cloud security, and platform reliability engineering.

You will define cloud architecture strategies, govern Terraform-based infrastructure, and lead CI/CD automation across multi-region deployments.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in Cloud Infrastructure, DevOps, Platform Engineering, or SRE roles.
• Proven experience architecting large-scale AWS cloud environments.
• Strong expertise in Terraform and Infrastructure as Code principles.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes/EKS and container orchestration.
• Extensive experience designing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
• Strong understanding of cloud networking concepts including VPC, Load Balancers, DNS, VPN, WAF, and IAM.

Responsibilities

• Define the cloud architecture strategy and drive platform engineering best practices to deliver secure, resilient, and production-ready solutions.
• Architect and govern cloud infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices.
• Design scalable, highly available, and secure AWS-based platform architectures.
• Define and implement enterprise-grade CI/CD strategies and deployment automation frameworks.
• Architect and manage Kubernetes/EKS environments for cloud-native applications.
• Design networking architecture including VPCs, Load Balancers, IAM, DNS, VPN, WAF, and security controls.
• Establish disaster recovery, backup, business continuity, and multi-region deployment strategies.
• Define cloud security standards, governance frameworks, and compliance controls.
• Lead infrastructure automation initiatives to improve operational efficiency and platform reliability.
• Design monitoring, logging, observability, and alerting frameworks using CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK/OpenSearch.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, security, and CloudOps teams to deliver enterprise-scale cloud solutions.
• Provide architectural leadership, technical reviews, and technology roadmaps for platform modernization initiatives.
• Mentor engineering teams on DevOps, SRE, cloud architecture, and reliability engineering best practices.

• We are looking for an experienced cloud architect with strong expertise in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, and cloud-native platforms.
• 12+ years of experience in Cloud Infrastructure, DevOps, Platform Engineering, or SRE roles.
• Proven experience architecting large-scale AWS cloud environments.
• Strong expertise in Terraform and Infrastructure as Code principles.
• Deep hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Amazon EKS, and container orchestration.
• Extensive experience designing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
• Strong understanding of cloud networking concepts including VPC, Load Balancers, DNS, VPN, WAF, and IAM.
• Experience designing highly available, resilient, and disaster recovery-enabled cloud platforms.
• Expertise in cloud security, governance, compliance, and identity management.
• Strong knowledge of monitoring, observability, logging, and SRE practices.
• Experience architecting automation frameworks for infrastructure provisioning and deployment management.
• Strong understanding of containerization technologies such as Docker.
• Excellent stakeholder management, solution architecture, and technical leadership skills.
• Experience mentoring engineering teams and driving cloud transformation initiatives.
