Job summary

Qureos in Hyderabad seeks an experienced DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure for its applications. You will automate deployments, monitor performance, and ensure reliability across environments.

You will collaborate with development, QA, and IT teams to streamline operations, build CI/CD with GitHub Actions and Google Cloud Run, and manage Docker/Kubernetes orchestration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.
• 5+ years of DevOps/Platform experience with cloud infrastructure and CI/CD.
• Hands-on with Docker, Kubernetes, and GCP services (Compute Engine, Cloud Run, GKE).
• Experience with Elasticsearch for monitoring/logging/search; MongoDB administration.
• Strong scripting (Python, Bash) and IaC with Terraform/Ansible.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and maintain the infrastructure that powers our applications and services. You will work closely with our development, QA, and IT teams to automate and streamline operations, monitor system performance, and ensure the reliability of our deployments.

This is a great opportunity for a hands‑on engineer who wants to own cloud infrastructure end-to-end and help scale a growing platform in India.

Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure Management

• Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Implement and maintain scalable container orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.

CI/CD Pipeline

• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate testing, building, and deployment using GitHub Actions and Google Cloud Run.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate new features into the CI/CD process.

Monitoring and Logging

• Set up and manage monitoring, logging, and alerting systems using tools such as Elasticsearch, Kibana, Prometheus, and New Relic.
• Ensure system reliability, performance, and availability through proactive monitoring and incident response.

Database Management

• Administer and optimize MongoDB instances, ensuring data integrity, performance, and security.
• Implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies for MongoDB and other databases.

Security and Compliance

• Implement security best practices across infrastructure, applications, and data.
• Ensure compliance with applicable Indian data protection and security regulations, as well as internal policies.

Automation and Scripting

• Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and system operations using GCP services.
• Develop custom scripts to enhance automation and operational efficiency.

Collaboration and Support

• Work closely with development and QA teams to support the software development lifecycle.
• Provide technical guidance and support to resolve infrastructure‑related issues.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).

Experience

• 5+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role.
• Strong experience with Docker, including container orchestration using Kubernetes.
• Hands‑on experience with GCP services, including Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud Run, and GKE.
• Experience with Elasticsearch for monitoring, logging, and search.
• Proficiency administering and optimizing MongoDB databases.

Skills

• Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or a similar language.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions or CircleCI.
• Excellent problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams, including distributed and international colleagues.
• Must be legally authorized to work in India.

Nice to Have

• Experience with additional cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Certifications in Docker, GCP, or related technologies.
