Job summary

OpenTalent in India invites an experienced DevOps and Platform Engineering leader to shape automation, cloud operations and operational excellence across diverse teams. You will own CI/CD pipelines, IaC, container orchestration, and deployment processes, driving reliability and scalable architectures while partnering with stakeholders to deliver secure, cost-optimized platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead DevOps and platform engineering across development, infrastructure and technology teams.
• Own and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, Jenkins, GitHub Actions and/or Azure DevOps.
• Drive Infrastructure as Code with Terraform, Ansible and scripting.
• Manage containerized environments with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Improve deployment reliability, platform availability, scalability and efficiency.
• Manage and optimize cloud environments across AWS, Azure and GCP.
• Ensure high availability, performance, capacity, resilience and security of critical platforms and infrastructure.
• Drive cloud cost optimization and lifecycle management.
• Oversee infrastructure, networking, servers, storage and virtualization.
• Establish monitoring, alerting and observability practices.
• Lead incident response, conduct RCA and drive corrective actions.
• Define KPIs for availability, uptime, MTTR and change success.
• Develop operational dashboards and runbooks.
• Embed security and least-privilege controls into DevOps and infra.
• Support ISO 27001, ISMS audits and compliance requirements.
• Govern changes, access reviews and backup/recovery.
• Establish standards for cloud, infrastructure and platform environments.
• Drive Incident, Problem, Change and Request Management.
• Set service-level expectations and operational KPIs.
• Identify opportunities for automation and intelligent monitoring.
• Ensure strong internal customer and stakeholder experience.
• Lead and mentor DevOps, cloud/infrastructure and technology operations teams.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams during incidents and upgrades.
• Manage technology vendors, MSPs and cloud/technology partners, including SLAs.

Key Responsibilities

DevOps & Platform Engineering

• Lead DevOps and platform engineering practices across development, infrastructure and technology teams.
• Own and optimize CI/CD pipelines, source-code platforms and deployment processes using GitLab, Jenkins, GitHub Actions and/or Azure DevOps.
• Drive Infrastructure as Code (IaC), configuration management and automation using Terraform, Ansible and scripting.
• Manage and support containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes .
• Improve deployment reliability, platform availability, scalability and operational efficiency.

Cloud & Infrastructure Operations

• Manage and optimize cloud environments across AWS, Microsoft Azure and GCP .
• Ensure high availability, performance, capacity, resilience and security of critical platforms and infrastructure.
• Drive cloud cost optimization, capacity planning, lifecycle management and FinOps practices.
• Oversee infrastructure, networking, servers, storage, virtualization and related technology platforms.

Reliability, Monitoring & Incident Management

• Establish strong monitoring, alerting, observability and proactive maintenance practices.
• Lead response to critical incidents, conduct root-cause analysis (RCA) and drive corrective and preventive actions.
• Define and track operational KPIs including availability, uptime, MTTR, change success and recurring incidents.
• Develop operational dashboards, runbooks and technology documentation.

Security, Governance & Compliance

• Embed security, access controls, vulnerability management and least-privilege principles into DevOps and infrastructure practices.
• Support ISO 27001, ISMS, audit and compliance requirements.
• Govern technology changes, access reviews, backup/recovery and operational resilience.
• Establish standards and controls for cloud, infrastructure and platform environments.

IT Service & Operational Excellence

• Drive structured Incident, Problem, Change and Request Management in collaboration with technology teams.
• Establish service-level expectations, operational KPIs and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Identify opportunities for automation, AIOps and intelligent monitoring to reduce operational effort and improve MTTR.
• Ensure a strong internal customer and stakeholder experience.

Leadership & Vendor Management

• Lead, mentor and develop a team of DevOps, cloud/infrastructure and technology operations professionals.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams during incidents, technology changes, upgrades and transformation initiatives.
• Manage technology vendors, MSPs and cloud/technology partners, including SLAs, performance and service quality.
• Support technology budgeting, forecasting and cost optimization.
