Job summary

Tarento Group in Bengaluru is seeking an experienced DevOps Manager to lead cloud operations, platform engineering, and technology operations.

You will own CI/CD, IaC, container platforms, security, governance and incident management, driving automation, reliability and cost optimization across AWS/Azure/GCP.

Responsibilities

• Lead DevOps and platform engineering across development, infrastructure and operations.
• Own and optimize CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes (GitLab, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
• Drive Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform and configuration management with Ansible.
• Manage containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Improve deployment reliability, platform availability and scalability.
• Manage cloud environments across AWS, Azure and GCP.
• Ensure high availability, performance, capacity and security.
• Drive cloud cost optimization and FinOps practices.
• Oversee infrastructure, networking, servers, storage and virtualization.
• Establish monitoring, incident response and RCA processes.
• Define operational KPIs and dashboards; maintain runbooks and docs.
• Embed security and governance; support ISO 27001 and audits.
• Lead incident, change and problem management; optimize MTTR.
• Mentor and manage DevOps and technology operations teams; manage vendors and budgets.

We are looking for an experienced DevOps Manager to lead our cloud, infrastructure, platform engineering and technology operations. The role combines DevOps leadership, cloud operations, infrastructure reliability, automation, security, service management and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

DevOps & Platform Engineering

• Lead DevOps and platform engineering practices across development, infrastructure and technology teams.
• Own and optimize CI/CD pipelines, source-code platforms and deployment processes using GitLab, Jenkins, GitHub Actions and/or Azure DevOps.
• Drive Infrastructure as Code (IaC), configuration management and automation using Terraform, Ansible and scripting.
• Manage and support containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Improve deployment reliability, platform availability, scalability and operational efficiency.

Cloud & Infrastructure Operations

• Manage and optimize cloud environments across AWS, Microsoft Azure and GCP.
• Ensure high availability, performance, capacity, resilience and security of critical platforms and infrastructure.
• Drive cloud cost optimization, capacity planning, lifecycle management and FinOps practices.
• Oversee infrastructure, networking, servers, storage, virtualization and related technology platforms.

Reliability, Monitoring & Incident Management

• Establish strong monitoring, alerting, observability and proactive maintenance practices.
• Lead response to critical incidents, conduct root-cause analysis (RCA) and drive corrective and preventive actions.
• Define and track operational KPIs including availability, uptime, MTTR, change success and recurring incidents.
• Develop operational dashboards, runbooks and technology documentation.

Security, Governance & Compliance

• Embed security, access controls, vulnerability management and least-privilege principles into DevOps and infrastructure practices.
• Support ISO 27001, ISMS, audit and compliance requirements.
• Govern technology changes, access reviews, backup/recovery and operational resilience.
• Establish standards and controls for cloud, infrastructure and platform environments.

IT Service & Operational Excellence

• Drive structured Incident, Problem, Change and Request Management in collaboration with technology teams.
• Establish service-level expectations, operational KPIs and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Identify opportunities for automation, AIOps and intelligent monitoring to reduce operational effort and improve MTTR.
• Ensure a strong internal customer and stakeholder experience.

Leadership & Vendor Management

• Lead, mentor and develop a team of DevOps, cloud/infrastructure and technology operations professionals.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams during incidents, technology changes, upgrades and transformation initiatives.
• Manage technology vendors, MSPs and cloud/technology partners, including SLAs, performance and service quality.
• Support technology budgeting, forecasting and cost optimization.

Key Skills & Experience

• 10+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud, Infrastructure, Platform Engineering or IT Operations, with significant leadership experience.
• Strong experience with AWS / Azure / GCP, cloud operations and infrastructure management.
• Hands‑on understanding of CI/CD, GitLab, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Terraform, Ansible, Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong knowledge of Linux/Windows infrastructure, networking, monitoring, observability and automation.
• Experience managing production environments, major incidents, RCA, change management and service reliability.
• Good understanding of cybersecurity, IAM, vulnerability management, backup/DR and ISO 27001/IT governance.
• Experience managing teams, vendors, budgets and senior stakeholders.
• Strong problem‑solving, communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• ITIL, cloud, Kubernetes, Terraform, security or DevOps certifications would be an advantage.
