Job summary

UST is seeking an experienced DevOps Lead in Bengaluru to guide a Java engineering team through robust CI/CD implementations. You will drive automation, manage cloud deployments on Azure (AKS), and lead troubleshooting and RCA for production systems.

Ideal candidates bring 8+ years in DevOps, strong leadership, hands-on GitHub Actions, Terraform, Kubernetes, and Azure services, with a focus on scalable, secure pipelines and collaboration across stakeholder groups.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience including DevOps engineering and team-lead experience.
• Hands-on experience leading DevOps for a Java development team.
• Expertise in GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, and Azure Pipelines.
• Hands-on with Terraform; strong Kubernetes and Docker knowledge.
• Azure cloud services experience, preferably AKS; scripting in Python/PowerShell/Bash.
• Experience with Java apps, Spring Boot, and microservices; Maven/Gradle knowledge.
• End-to-end CI/CD pipeline design and troubleshooting/root-cause analysis.

Must-Have Skills

• Experience with SonarQube and artifact repositories such as JFrog Artifactory or Nexus.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• A DevOps Lead with proven experience supporting and handling Java engineering teams.
• Strong hands‑on technical capability combined with team‑leadership experience.
• Ability to understand Java application architecture without being expected to work as a core Java developer.
• Azure experience is strongly preferred.
