Job summary

Samsung in Pune is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer (Azure) to lead the design, deployment, and optimization of our Azure-based infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines.

The role requires IaC automation with Terraform/ARM, hands-on work with Data Factory, Databricks, Key Vault, and Service Principals, plus strong collaboration with security and development teams to ensure performance, security, and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

We are currently seeking applicants for a Senior DevOps Engineer (Azure) position to join our Pune office. Qualified candidates will possess the skills detailed below and relevant work experience.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or similar tools for automated deployment and continuous integration.
• Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or ARM templates to automate provisioning and configuration of Azure resources.
• Drive adoption of DevOps culture and practices within the organization, including collaboration between development and operations teams.
• Design, deploy, and maintain Azure infrastructure components to support our applications and services.
• Architect scalable and resilient Azure solutions that meet performance and reliability requirements.
• Set up and configure Azure services such as Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks to support data processing and analytics workflows.
• Manage Azure Key Vault for secure storage and management of cryptographic keys and secrets.
• Implement and maintain Azure Service Principals for secure access management.
• Implement security best practices and policies in Azure environments to ensure data protection and compliance.
• Monitor and mitigate security vulnerabilities and threats in Azure infrastructure and services.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in CS, IT, or EE.
• Extensive experience working as a DevOps Engineer with a focus on the Azure cloud platform.
• Strong knowledge of Azure services, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Azure Key Vault.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Python, or similar languages.
• Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or ARM templates.
• Solid understanding of security principles and best practices for Azure environments.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitLab CI/CD.
• 3+ years of experience in Azure infrastructure management (VNET, Storage Account, compute, Backup, Azure Stack, AVS, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Key Vault, and Service Principals).
• Azure certifications such as Azure Administrator Associate or Azure Solutions Architect Expert are a plus.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Familiarity with Azure monitoring and logging tools for maintaining oversight of infrastructure performance and security.
• Ability to quickly learn new platforms, languages, tools, and techniques as needed to meet project requirements.
• Self‑motivated and directed, with strong attention to detail.
