Job summary

Quest Global in Chennai is seeking a DevOps Lead to oversee design, deployment, and operation of cloud-based solutions. You will drive CI/CD adoption, guide architecture discussions, and ensure alignment with business objectives while building a cohesive engineering culture.

The role requires 8–10 years in DevOps, strong Kubernetes/Docker skills, multi-cloud experience (AWS/Azure), and hands-on leadership of distributed teams to deliver scalable, secure infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or engineering field.
• 8–10 years of DevOps experience.
• Experience leading DevOps teams.
• Experience with microservices and native cloud solutions.
• Experience with MySQL, Postgres, DynamoDB.
• Hands-on with Docker, EKS, Kubernetes.
• Cloud infrastructure experience on AWS/Azure.
• Programming in Java or Python.
• Cloud infrastructure security experience.
• AWS certifications are an added advantage.

The DevOps lead is responsible in directly overseeing the implementation, deployment, and integration of solutions, taking responsibility for their successful delivery. They also plan, build, configure, and test solutions, maintain systems, analyze and approve new code. They are expected to manage all aspects of solutions deployment and technical operations.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or any other Engineering field.
• 8-10 years with DevOps expertise.

Work Experience

Skills & Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in planning and implementing cloud infrastructure and DevOps solution like IaC and CI & CD.
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in handling a team of skilled DevOps
• Experience working with development teams building on microservices and native cloud solutions.
• Experience with multiple data stores (MySQL,Postgres,DynamoDB)
• Hands on experience in managing and deploying containerized environments using docker ,EKS,Kubernetes is must.
• Expertise in cloud infrastructure solutions like Microsoft Azure, AWS.
• Hands on experience using large scale software development, preferably in one of these languages: Java, Python, scripting languages is a must.
• Experience in cloud infrastructure security.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• AWS certifications will be an added advantage.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
