HSBC Software Development India is seeking an experienced Consultant Specialist to deploy and maintain cloud-native applications, implement automation, and manage CI/CD pipelines. You will work with a cross-functional team on modern technologies, drive best practices, and support production operations.

The role requires hands-on Unix/Linux, strong GCP expertise, Terraform/CloudFormation, and container orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes.

Qualificações

• Unix/Linux administration experience.
• Hands-on with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible).
• Infrastructure-as-code experience (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Version control with Git.
• Docker containerization and Kubernetes orchestration.
• Jenkins CI/CD pipelines administration and automation.
• Scripting in Bash and/or Python for automation.
• Experience with GKE, Cloud Logging, Dataflow, IAM and related GCP services.
• Familiar with DevOps practices, Agile, Confluence, JIRA.

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Consultant Specialist

In this role, you will:

• Deploy and maintain critical applications on cloud-native microservices architecture
• Implement automation, effective monitoring, and infrastructure-as-code
• Deploy and maintain CI/CD pipelines across multiple environments
• Support and work alongside a cross-functional engineering team on the latest technologies
• Iterate on best practices to increase the quality & velocity of deployments
• Sustain and improve the process of knowledge sharing throughout the engineering team. Follow standards and controls to ensure quality of outcome
• Support production deployment and post development implementation activities
• Perform application support as necessary; participate and drive the Crisis Calls for production incidents
• Identify and work on system performance improvement

To be successful, you will:

• Hands-on Unix/Linux Administration. Expertise with GCP. Experience with configuration management tools (e.g. Ansible)
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code (e.g. Terraform, Cloudformation). Version control system experience (e.g. Git)
• Practical experience with Docker containerization and orchestration (Kubernetes). Hands-on experience with administration and setup of Jenkins CI/CD pipelines, alerts and workflow setup
• A drive towards automating repetitive tasks (e.g. scripting via Bash, Python etc). Experience with administration and maintenance with GKE backup and blue green deployment strategies
• Working knowledge on GCP products like GKE, GCE, Cloud Logging, Cloud Run Functions, Cloud Composer, Dataflow, VPC, NAT Gateways and subnets, Big query, IAM. is mandatory
• Fair knowledge and experience of DevOps & Agile discipline. Confluence, JIRA, Unix / Linux. Strong interpersonal and communications skills
• Be a team player - someone who can work with our other engineers to get things done. We are looking for someone who takes pride in the quality of their work, and who cares about how their product is used
• Strong unit testing and debugging skills
