Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a software engineer to develop, modify, and debug applications for IT and revenue cycle management. You will analyze existing systems, design data sources, and collaborate with analysts, engineers, and QA to implement changes and prototypes.

The role requires a Bachelor's in CS/IT or related field and 4 years of programming experience, plus hands-on knowledge of C#/C++, HTML, Java, .NET, SQL Server, and SQL. Experience with Agile/Scrum and version control is preferred.

• Develops, modifies, debugs, and evaluates existing software for functional areas
• Analyzes existing software and formulates logic for new systems
• Designs and uses data sources
• Monitors and employs source code control techniques and configuration management
• Codes, tests, and debugs programs according to computer engineering specifications
• Modifies, expands, and updates applications
• Coordinates and documents application development and testing with analysts, engineers, and quality assurance testers
• Develops software prototypes
• Gathers, analyzes, prepares, and summarizes recommendations for system and programming documentation
• Customizes, enhances, and implements new modules and changes to cloud applications
• Redesigns and creates and maintains security roles and configurations
• Performs complex data modeling, performance and integration testing

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Math, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent training and/or experience
• Four (4) years of programming experience
• Hands-on industry experience in software application development for Information Technology, revenue cycle management, and/or interface development, preferred
• Experience working with MS Applications including SQL query, MS Office, and Visual Studio, preferred
• Strong working knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL) for writing queries
• Strong working knowledge of web applications, including security, session management, and best development practices
• Working knowledge of industry practices, architectural standards, and department policies and procedures relating to work assignments
• Knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies, version control systems, and/or IIS
• Knowledge of data modeling for creating reports, dashboards, and extracts using subject areas and custom SQL
• Knowledge of requirements gathering process and documentation structure
• Strong programming skills in C#/C++, HTML, Java/Java Enterprise Edition, Microsoft .NET, and SQL Server
