Job summary

Recro is seeking a DevOps/Platform Engineer to manage and improve infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and build robust CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions. You will deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot applications on GCP, manage IAM, secrets, and networking, and collaborate with backend teams to enhance deployment workflows.

The role requires 1-2 years in DevOps/Cloud roles, Linux and networking basics, Docker/Kubernetes experience, and scripting skills in Bash or Python.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Linux and networking fundamentals.
• Experience with cloud platforms and CI/CD pipelines.
• Hands-on with GCP and containerized apps.
• Experience building/maintaining GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiar with Docker and Kubernetes concepts.
• Experience with PostgreSQL or MySQL, including backups and basic performance troubleshooting.
• Basic scripting skills in Bash or Python.
• Strong troubleshooting and independent work in fast-moving startups.

Job description

• Manage and maintain our infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Build and improve CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
• Deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot applications running on GCP.
• Configure and manage cloud networking, IAM, service accounts, and secrets.
• Monitor application health, logs, and performance using Google Cloud Logging and Cloud Monitoring.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration wherever possible.
• Collaborate with backend engineers to improve deployment workflows and platform reliability.
• Troubleshoot production issues and participate in incident resolution.
• Help improve infrastructure security, backups, and operational best practices.

What we're looking for:

• 1-2 years of experience in a DevOps, Cloud, or Platform Engineering role.
• Good understanding of Linux systems and networking fundamentals.
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Experience building or maintaining GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with Docker and containerized applications.
• Experience working with PostgreSQL or MySQL, including backups, user management, monitoring, and basic performance troubleshooting.
• Basic scripting skills using Bash or Python.
• Good understanding of Git and modern software development workflows.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced startup environment.

Good to have:

• Experience with Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code tools.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes (GKE) or other container orchestration platforms.
• We're planning to migrate parts of our platform to Kubernetes, so prior exposure is a plus.
• Experience configuring or managing Grafana and Prometheus.
• Familiarity with Google Cloud Monitoring and Logging.
• Exposure to AWS or Azure.
• Understanding of security best practices, IAM, and secrets management.
