Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years in DevOps, SysAdmin, or Infra roles.
• Strong Linux administration, preferably Ubuntu/Debian.
• Experience with container deployments using Docker.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of backups, DR practices, and data integrity.
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL or similar relational DBs.

Responsibilities

• Manage server security, patching, access controls, and service configurations.


• Containerize applications and manage Docker-based deployments.


• Maintain Docker Compose and other container configurations for multi-service applications.


• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar tools.


• Automate build, testing, deployment, and release processes.


• Manage application releases, versioning, rollbacks, and staged deployments.


• Design and maintain backup strategies for servers, databases, and application data.


• Regularly test restore procedures to ensure backups are recoverable.


• Set up monitoring and alerts to identify failures early.


• Administer PostgreSQL or similar relational databases, including backups and basic performance troubleshooting.


• Support data migration and synchronization between systems when required.


• Work closely with developers to improve deployment workflows and reduce deployment-related issues.


• Maintain clear infrastructure documentation, runbooks, and incident RCA records.

Preferred candidate profile

3+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, SysAdmin, or Infrastructure roles.

• Strong Linux administration skills, preferably Ubuntu/Debian.


• Solid experience with Docker and containerized application deployments.


• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.


• Working knowledge of backup and disaster-recovery practices.


• Comfortable working with PostgreSQL or another relational database.


• Scripting knowledge in Bash and/or Python for automation.


• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.


• Good understanding of server infrastructure and deployment practices.
