Job summary

TravClan in Delhi is seeking an experienced DevOps/SRE professional to design, build, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure, with ownership of CI/CD pipelines and IaC implementations. You will manage Docker/Kubernetes workloads, observability tooling, and cost optimization while coordinating incident response and on-call rotations.

The ideal candidate has 2-5 years in DevOps or security roles, strong cloud and container experience, and a collaborative mindset to work with engineering,

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Security Operations (or a combined role).
• Experience building, deploying, and operating tech infrastructure and applications.
• Strong hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS preferred; GCP/Azure acceptable).
• Solid experience with containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with incident management and on-call rotations.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable, highly available infrastructure on cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).
• Own CI/CD pipelines to enable fast, safe, and repeatable deployments.
• Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi).
• Manage containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes (EKS/GKE/self-managed).
• Set up and maintain observability: logging, monitoring, and alerting (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK, Datadog, New Relic).
• Drive cost optimization, capacity planning, and infrastructure scaling initiatives.
• Own incident response for infrastructure/production issues, participate in on-call rotations, RCAs and postmortems.
• Automate repetitive operational tasks to reduce manual toil.

Key Responsibilities:

DevOps / Infrastructure

• Design, build, and maintain scalable, highly available infrastructure on cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).
• Own CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar) to enable fast, safe, and repeatable deployments.
• Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi).
• Manage containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes (EKS/GKE/self-managed).
• Set up and maintain observability: logging, monitoring, and alerting (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK, Datadog, New Relic, or similar).
• Drive cost optimization, capacity planning, and infrastructure scaling initiatives.
• Own incident response for infrastructure/production issues, participate in on-call rotations, conduct RCAs and blameless postmortems.
• Automate repetitive operational tasks to reduce manual toil.

SecOps / Security

• Own the security posture of cloud infrastructure, including IAM policies, network security, VPC/firewall configurations, and secrets management (Vault, AWS Secrets Manager, etc.).
• Implement and monitor security controls across CI/CD (SAST/DAST, dependency & container vulnerability scanning).
• Set up and manage SIEM/logging for security monitoring, threat detection, and alerting.
• Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration test coordination, and remediation tracking.
• Define and enforce security best practices: least-privilege access, encryption at rest/in transit, key rotation policies.
• Drive compliance initiatives (ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI-DSS, GDPR as applicable) and support audits.
• Build and maintain security runbooks, playbooks, and internal documentation.
• Respond to security incidents, including triage, containment, root cause analysis, and post-incident hardening.

Must have technical skills

• Proficiency in cloud services (AWS or Google Cloud Platform) and containerization tools like Kubernetes and Docker.
• Hands-on experience with:

- Scripting (Shell/Bash/Python)

• Expertise with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, Chef/Puppet/Ansible, Maven/Nexus, EKS, GKE) and configuration management tools like Ansible and Terraform.
• Deploy and maintain infrastructure using Redis, Elasticsearch, and RabbitMQ for scalable and high-performance applications.
• Working understanding of core security concepts: IAM, network segmentation, encryption, vulnerability management, and threat modeling.
• Experience with monitoring/observability and log management tools.

• Bring strong troubleshooting skills for infrastructure, deployment, and security issues.
• Coordinate vulnerability assessments and penetration tests, and track remediation.
• Bring familiarity with compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI-DSS) as a strong plus.
• Bring prior experience in a fintech, travel-tech, or high-transaction-volume product company as a plus.
• Communicate excellently and work cross-functionally with engineering, product, and leadership.
