Job summary

Lavu Inc. is seeking a motivated DevOps Engineer in Hyderabad to manage production workloads on AWS for our AI-SaaS product. You will work with Kubernetes, Terraform, and MySQL, partnering with security tooling like CloudFlare and monitoring with New Relic.

Responsibilities include building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, managing cloud infrastructure, and supporting software teams to scale services in a fast-paced startup environment. Remote work not offered; on-site in India.

Qualifications

• 3-4 years of production experience in DevOps for a SaaS or internet product.
• 3-4 years of experience with Kubernetes, Linux, Terraform, MySQL, AWS services, security tools like CloudFlare and monitoring tools like New Relic.
• Experience building and managing build pipelines for AWS cloud-based applications.
• Strong experience with release management tools (Git, Bitbucket, Bamboo/Jenkins, Jira).
• 3+ years of experience with security policy for operating in a customer-facing production environment.
• Proficiency in automation scripting with Terraform and Python.
• In-depth Linux knowledge for high availability and performance tuning.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operational tasks and deployments on our SaaS platform in staging and production.
• Provide 24x7 on-call support for production reliability.
• Design, implement and manage CI/CD pipelines and build systems.
• Oversee production Kubernetes infrastructure, databases, security tooling, and monitoring in AWS.
• Collaborate with development teams to optimize build processes and tooling.
• Maintain compliance with new technologies and upgrade tools as needed.

Job Description
Lavu is looking for a highly motivated DevOps Engineer to manage our production
workload in AWS. This position is based in India and it can be anywhere inside the
country. As Lavu continues to grow, we are looking to add infrastructure engineers on
our team to support our platform running in AWS. This person will be reporting to the
DevOps Manager in the USA.
The ideal candidate is customer oriented, results driven, and passionate about
delivering innovative internet service to our customers in 60 plus countries. To be
successful, you will need to work well in a fast-paced, startup environment.

Responsibilities:

• Daily operational tasks on our SaaS platform will include troubleshooting and deployment tasks in both the staging and production environments
• On-call to help cover 24x7 production support
• Contribute to grow the platform for business needs
• Design, implementation, and management of build pipelines
• Manage the production Kubernetes infrastructure, Databases, Security Infrastructure and tooling in the AWS cloud
• Monitor build pipelines with a sense of build ownership and determination to maintain trust in the build and release management system
• Design, implement and run the CI/CD infrastructure
• Work closely with development teams to adjust the current build process to suit their needs
• Collaborate and work within a team of DevOps engineers
• Manage projects and resources to ensure on-time delivery of milestones
• Support Development Infrastructure as needed
• Upgrade tools and infrastructure to stay compliant with new technologies

Work from Office with 8AM PST time zone(IST Night shift)

Requirements

• 3-4 years of production experience in the DevOps domain in AWS cloud for a SaaS product or an internet product
• 3-4 years of experience in Kubernetes, Linux OS, Terraform, MySQL DB, AWS services, Security tools like CloudFlare and monitoring tools such as NewRelic
• Experience in building and managing build pipelines for AWS cloud-based applications
• Expert knowledge in build systems and release management tools (Git, Bitbucket, Bamboo/Jenkins, Jira)
• Strong communication skills and proven experience in building alignment across teams
• Experience with designing, developing, and scaling infrastructure as code
• Strong skill set for infrastructure issue troubleshooting, root causing and providing solutions
• 3+ years of experience with security policy for operating in a customer-facing production environment
• Programming skills with automation scripting capability like Terraform and Python
• In-depth knowledge in Linux systems for various applications with configurations, optimization towards high availability and effectiveness of services
• Experience implementing monitoring and alerts following practical monitoring frameworks
• B.S. Computer Science, or related fields
