Job summary

Palo Alto Networks is hiring a DevOps Engineer based in Hyderabad, India. You will design, develop, and maintain the build and deployment pipeline for our SaaS platform, partnering with engineering to implement a modern CI/CD pipeline and resilient infrastructure.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in DevOps/SRE, with hands-on experience in cloud platforms, containerization, and automation tools, contributing to scalable, secure systems and recovery processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or STEM field.
• 1–3 years as DevOps/SRE in an individual contributor role.
• Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines, configuration management, and containerization.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and IaC tools like Ansible, Terraform, CloudFormation.
• Proficiency with Git and Jenkins for distributed version control and CI/CD.
• Experience building microservices and fault-tolerant cloud-hosted systems.

Job Summary

This position is based in Hyderabad, India. Our Tech and Product team is tasked with innovating and maintaining a massive distributed SAAS engineering platform which supports tens of millions of users. As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for design, development and maintenance of build and deployment pipeline of our SAAS product. Position is part of IDIRA R&D group. You’d be working with engineering counterparts to build and maintain a modern CICD pipeline and infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
• A minimum of 1-3 years of professional experience as individual contributor role (DevOps/SRE).
• Proficiency in DevOps practices, methodologies, and tools, such as CI/CD pipelines, configuration management, and containerization.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and infrastructure as code (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Proficiency with distributed version control and CI/CD pipelines, e.g., Git, Jenkins
• AWS Experience along with AI/ML Basics is a plus
• Enthusiastically follow technology trends, software engineering best practice and technologies while enjoying the challenge of solving complex problems.
• Building microservices and N-tier web applications that not only scale but are also fault tolerant
• Expertise in configuring, deploying, securing, managing, and maintaining large, fault tolerant, cloud-hosted systems including auto scaling, automatic fail over and recovery, monitoring, security, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and disaster recovery
