Bricksteel Enterprises is seeking a seasoned DevOps Engineer to manage cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) with strong EC2, networking, and reliability engineering expertise. The role emphasizes cost optimization, automation, and observability across Docker/Kubernetes environments and CI/CD pipelines.

Candidates should bring Proxmox experience, scripting in Bash/PowerShell, and know-how in Terraform, CloudFormation, and monitoring with Prometheus/Grafana.

Responsibilities

• Deep understanding of EC2 and cost structures (AWS/Azure).
• Expertise in EC2 disks, networking (zones), AMI, snapshots, and replication.
• Proficient in CloudWatch utilization and 24/7 systems reliability engineering.
• Strong knowledge of VPN servers/clients and architecture (linking colocation and AWS).
• Experience with Reserved Instances/VPS, Docker/Kubernetes setup, networking, and architecting.
• Solid understanding of security practices (authentication, account management, firewalls, DDoS protection).
• Hands‑on experience with Proxmox, hardware failure diagnosis, and Bash/PowerShell scripting for observability tools.
• Knowledge of Apache/Nginx/HAProxy architecture, Certificate Authority/Signing, and OpenSSH pubkey management.
• Expertise in static routes, port forwarding, VM templates, and quick deployments.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (GitHub, Jenkins), AWS CloudFormation, Azure Active Directory, Terraform, and Helm deployments.
• Experience with AWS Lambda/API Gateway, Kafka/Zookeeper, and monitoring tools like Prometheus/Grafana.
