Job summary

Good co India is seeking an experienced DevOps Architect to lead architecture and strategy across cloud, infrastructure, and deployment environments for enterprise applications.

You will design scalable, secure platforms, implement CI/CD pipelines, manage multi-cloud infra (AWS/Azure/GCP), drive IaC with Terraform/Ansible, and mentor engineering teams while embedding DevSecOps and observability practices. This role emphasizes cost optimization and collaboration with product and security teams.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years in DevOps, Cloud Eng, SRE, Platform Eng, Infra Eng, or related roles.
• Expert-level knowledge of at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Ansible, Helm.
• Extensive experience designing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of GitOps, microservices, distributed systems, cloud-native architecture, and deployment strategies.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable, secure, highly available, and automated DevOps platforms for enterprise applications.
• Architect and implement CI/CD pipelines covering build, test, security, release, deployment, and rollback processes.
• Design and manage cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, GCP, or hybrid-cloud environments.
• Drive Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, or equivalent technologies.
• Design and manage containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Establish DevOps standards around GitOps, automation, configuration management, release management, and environment provisioning.
• Integrate security into development and deployment workflows and drive DevSecOps practices.
• Implement monitoring, logging, observability, alerting, and operational automation across application and infrastructure environments.
• Design solutions for high availability, scalability, disaster recovery, resilience, and business continuity.
• Collaborate with software engineering, SRE, cloud, infrastructure, security, data, and product teams to improve delivery and operational efficiency.
• Evaluate emerging DevOps, cloud-native, automation, and platform technologies and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Identify and eliminate deployment bottlenecks, infrastructure inefficiencies, operational toil, and technical debt.
• Establish architecture standards, reusable frameworks, engineering guidelines, documentation, and best practices.
• Lead cloud migration, application modernization, CI/CD transformation, and DevOps maturity initiatives.
• Monitor cloud and infrastructure utilization and drive cost optimization and resource efficiency.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to DevOps, platform, and engineering teams.
• Communicate architecture decisions, technical risks, project progress, and recommendations to senior stakeholders.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• 5 to 10 years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, SRE, Platform Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or related roles.
• Strong experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale DevOps and cloud architectures.
• Expert-level knowledge of at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Ansible, Helm, and Infrastructure as Code.
• Extensive experience designing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or equivalent platforms.
• Strong understanding of GitOps, microservices, distributed systems, cloud-native architecture, and deployment strategies.
• Experience with GitOps tools such as Argo CD or Flux is preferred.
• Strong understanding of cloud networking, IAM, security, secrets management, and container security.
• Experience implementing DevSecOps practices, including SAST, DAST, dependency scanning, container scanning, and vulnerability management.
• Strong experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Splunk, or OpenTelemetry.
• Experience designing highly available, scalable, fault-tolerant, and disaster-resilient systems.
• Strong programming or scripting skills in Python, Go, Bash, or similar languages.
• Experience with cloud migration, platform modernization, automation, and infrastructure optimization.
• Understanding of SRE principles, including reliability, SLOs, incident management, monitoring, and performance optimization.
• Experience with cloud cost optimization and infrastructure capacity planning.
• Strong system-design, architecture, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and technical decision-making skills.
• Demonstrated experience leading technical initiatives and mentoring engineers across teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline; M.Tech/MS/MCA is an advantage.
• Relevant certifications such as AWS/Azure/GCP, CKA/CKAD, Terraform, or Kubernetes are an advantage.
