Job summary

Hiver, Inc. in Bangalore, India, is seeking a DevOps 2 Engineer to design and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure. You will build Kubernetes clusters on EKS, deploy apps via ArgoCD, and apply GitOps across the platform.

You will collaborate with SRE and engineering teams, optimize reliability and observability, and work with Terraform, AWS services, monitoring tools, and CI/CD pipelines. Knowledge of Grafana and Kafka is valued.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in SRE/DevOps or similar roles.
• Strong Linux knowledge and OS fundamentals.
• Experience with containerization and cloud platforms (AWS).
• Scripting in Python or Bash and CI/CD proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage Kubernetes clusters on EKS.
• Deploy applications to Kubernetes through ArgoCD.
• Provision infrastructure with Terraform.
• Manage datastores and messaging systems (Elasticsearch, RDS, DocumentDB, RabbitMQ, Kafka).
• Implement GitOps and monitor systems with Datadog/CloudWatch; tune Grafana dashboards.

Key Responsibilities

What will you do?

• Create and manage Kubernetes clusters on EKS
• Deploy applications to Kubernetes through ArgoCD
• Manage multiple datastores - Elasticsearch, RDS, DocumentDB, etc
• Provision infrastructure with IaC tools (Terraform preferably)
• Manage queuing systems - RabbitMQ, Kafka
• Architect solutions as per engineering teams' needs
• Solve scalability issues with current infrastructure
• Provide support to engineering teams
• Implement GitOps across the organization

Key Requirements

What are we looking for?

• 3-5 years of experience in SRE Operations / System Administrator / DevOps role
• Strong working knowledge of Linux and operating system fundamentals
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience working with Cloud platforms (AWS)
• Scripting knowledge (Python / Bash)
• Experience with monitoring tools like Datadog / CloudWatch
• Experience with Grafana is a must
• Experience working with a CI/CD setup is a must (GitHub Actions)
• Experience with integrating AI into DevOps workflows will be an advantage.
• Experience with the ELK stack will be an advantage
