Job summary
Tazapay is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join Bangalore team. You will work with product and development teams to improve performance, reliability, and scalability of our cross-border payments platform.
You will shape CI/CD culture, tooling, and automation across the stack. You should have 3–6 years of commercial software experience, strong AWS, Docker/Kubernetes, and CI/CD expertise, and a passion for automation, scalability, and secure, observable systems.
Qualifications
- A degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology or equivalent.
- Strong automation mindset and passion for clean, simple solutions.
- Experience with AWS, CloudFormation, Ansible, Jenkins and CI/CD best practices.
- Experience with container infrastructures - Docker, Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with RDBMS/NoSQL administration.
- Excellent understanding of Linux OS and operating systems.
Responsibilities
- Improve performance and reliability with product development teams.
- Use open source tools to orchestrate solutions.
- Define, build and sustain CI/CD culture, tooling and processes.
- Develop tools to boost development productivity and system availability.
- Automate installation and upkeep of build/deploy tools and dependencies.

- As a DevOPS Engineer,
- Work closely with product development team to improve performance and reliability of new development
- Ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and tools to orchestrate solutions
- Define, build and keep true CI/CD culture, tooling and process
- Develop and architect tools for more productive development and also to improve product availability, scalability, and performance
- Automate the installation and upkeep of build and deploy tools and dependencies
- Define processes, techniques, architectures, and practices to ensure the monitoring, reliability and performance of product and services
- Design and implement innovations that improve software engineering velocity, infrastructure resiliency, security, and data availability
- Solve live performance and stability issues and prevent their recurrence
- Evaluate new application packages and tools and perform research on best practicesli>
- Provide recommendations for the solutions
- Degree in Computer Science or equivalent with 3+ years of experience in commercial software development in large distributed systems
- A degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology or have similar experience.
- Curiosity about how things work
- Obsession about automating everything and a passion for elegance and simplicity
- Comfort with frequent, incremental code testing and deployment
- Comfort with collaboration, open communication and reaching across functional borders
- Ability to jump into situations with few guardrails and make things better
- Ability and desire to jump in and fix things when they break
- Extended experience with AWS, CloudFormation, Ansible, Jenkins and CI/CD best practices
- Experience with container infrastructures - Docker, Kubernetes
- Experience with RDBMS/NoSQL adminstration and management.
- Experience with configuration management
- A love of learning and developing new skills
- Excellent understanding of Operating Systems concepts (especially Linux OS)
- Experience working for a start-up is preferred.
- History of effectively working with and growing geo-distributed partner teams
- AWS Cloud Certifications.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Ability to provide exceptional attention to details of the product.
- Ability to focus for extended periods of repetitious activity.
- Ability to think ahead and anticipate problems, issues and solutions
- Work well as a team player and help the team members to resolve issues
- Be committed to quality and be structured in approach
- Excellent and demonstrable concept formulation, logical and analytical skills
- Excellent planning, organizational, and prioritization skills
