Job summary

Tazapay is hiring a Frontend Engineer (SDE-2) to craft responsive UI with Vue.js in a fast-growing cross-border payments product. You will own features, ensure code quality, and collaborate across product, design, and QA teams to deliver scalable SPA experiences.

The role emphasizes TypeScript, modern frontend tooling, and cloud deployment through AWS. Bangalore-based, with opportunities to grow into senior engineering responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in CS/engineering.
• Typically 3–5 years of professional software development with strong frontend focus.
• Hands-on experience with Vue.js; Nuxt experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Feature Development: Build and maintain responsive, performant UI features using Vue.js.
• Frontend Development: Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code for complex UI components and workflows as part of our SPA architecture.
• Backend Integration: Integrate with Node.js/Go APIs to support frontend functionality.
• Performance: Contribute to performance optimizations for our SPA (code-splitting, lazy loading, bundle size).
• Cloud Familiarity: Work with AWS services (S3, CloudFront) for deployment and hosting as needed.
• Collaboration: Work with Product Managers, Designers, QA, and peer engineers to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
• Code Quality: Participate in code reviews, write unit/integration/E2E tests, and follow CI/CD best practices.
• Mentorship: Help train and guide junior engineers through code reviews and pair programming.
• Growth: Ramp up quickly on new areas and grow into greater ownership over time.
• DX: Contribute ideas to improve tooling and AI-assisted development tools.

About the SDE2 Frontend Engineer role

Responsibilities (not exhaustive)

• Feature Development:Build and maintain responsive, performant UI features using Vue.js
• Frontend Development:Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code for complex UI components and workflows as part of our SPA architecture

The Ideal Candidate

Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
• Typically 3–5 years of professional software development experience, with a good chunk in frontend
• Hands-on experience with Vue.js (Nuxt experience is a plus)
• Proficient in TypeScript
• Experience writing unit tests (Jest, Vitest, or similar)
• Experience building SPAs; SSR exposure is a good-to-have
• Experience with Tailwind CSS or similar utility-first CSS frameworks
• Solid understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and how to handle them
• Familiarity with AWS S3 and CloudFront is a plus
• Proficiency with Git/GitHub and collaborative workflows (PRs, code reviews, branching)
• Experience with Jira or similar issue-tracking tools
• Strong fundamentals in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and REST APIs
• Good problem-solving and debugging skills
• Clear communication skills, comfortable working with technical and non-technical stakeholders
