Job summary

Westcon-Comstor is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer with hands-on Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) expertise to build, maintain, and optimize deployment pipelines and infrastructure powering our AEM and Spring-based platforms.

You will collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure reliable, automated deployments across environments and drive CI/CD maturity and DevOps culture across the team.

Qualifications

• 4-6 years of DevOps or platform engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience deploying and managing Adobe Experience Manager (AEM).
• Experience deploying Spring Boot applications to cloud or on-prem environments.
• Proficiency with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
• Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python, or Groovy).
• Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Understanding of networking, load balancing, SSL/TLS, and security best practices.
• Strong Database experience with Azure SQL Server or SQL Server.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for AEM and Spring deployments.
• Manage AEM infrastructure across development, staging, and production environments.
• Automate deployment, configuration management, and environment provisioning processes.
• Monitor system health, application performance, and infrastructure reliability; respond to incidents.
• Implement and maintain infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
• Collaborate with developers to ensure build artefacts are correctly packaged and deployed (AEM content packages, Spring Boot JARs).
• Manage containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) for Spring-based services.
• Provide database support and automation for applications, with a strong preference for SQL Server, including deployments, schema changes, performance monitoring, backup/recovery, and CI/CD integration.
• Define and enforce security policies for deployment pipelines and cloud environments.
• Maintain environment documentation and runbooks for operational procedures.
• Drive adoption of DevOps best practices and support the team in shifting quality left.

You will work closely with development and operations teams to ensure reliable, automated, and repeatable deployments across all environments, and play a key role in driving DevOps culture and CI/CD maturity across the team.

Required Qualifications

• 4-6 years of DevOps or platform engineering experience.
• Hands‑on experience deploying and managing Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) - including package manager, replication agents, dispatcher configuration, and environment setup.
• Experience deploying Spring Boot applications to cloud or on‑premise environments.
• Proficiency with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
• Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python, or Groovy).
• Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Understanding of networking, load balancing, SSL/TLS, and security best practices.
• Strong Database experience preferably with Azure SQL Server or SQL Server.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.

Preferred / Nice‑to‑Have

• Experience with Adobe Cloud Manager and AEM as a Cloud Service (AEMaaCS) deployments.
• Familiarity with AEM Dispatcher configuration and CDN integration.
• Infrastructure-as-code experience with Terraform or Ansible.
• Relevant certifications (AWS Solutions Architect, CKA, etc.).
• Experience with log aggregation and monitoring tools (ELK Stack, Datadog, Grafana).
