Job summary

We are seeking an experienced Automotive Android Audio Framework Engineer with strong expertise in Android Audio Framework, AOSP, Android Automotive (AAOS), Audio HAL, and C++ development. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, customizing, integrating, and debugging Android Audio Framework components for next-generation Automotive Infotainment systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Android Audio Framework components within Automotive Infotainment platforms.
• Work extensively on AOSP source code and Android Framework/Native layers.
• Develop and debug Audio Framework modules including:
• AudioFlinger
• AudioPolicyManager / AudioPolicyService
• AudioManager / AudioService
• AudioTrack / AudioRecord
• Audio Focus
• Audio Routing
• Audio Attributes
• Audio HAL
• Debug issues across Application Framework Native Layer Audio HAL DSP/Hardware.
• Implement and troubleshoot audio routing, volume control, muting, ducking, and audio focus management.
• Analyze and resolve issues related to latency, audio dropouts, routing failures, interruptions, and audio synchronization.
• Collaborate with HAL, BSP, DSP, Hardware, Validation, and Application teams.
• Perform root cause analysis using ADB, Logcat, Dumpsys, Bugreport, GDB, and Linux debugging tools.
• Participate in design reviews, code reviews, testing, validation, and production releases.
