Job summary

Emerson Japan, Ltd. is seeking an experienced Power Platform/SharePoint developer to design, build, and maintain scalable automation solutions.

You will collaborate with functional and technical teams to translate requirements into robust Power Apps, Power Automate flows, and Copilot Studio agents, following Scrum and Agile practices. Responsibilities include delivering in sprints, applying best practices, and integrating with external systems via connectors and Dataverse.

Qualifications

• 4+ years hands-on experience developing applications on SharePoint Online, Power Apps and Power Automate.
• Strong hands-on experience with Power Automate and Power Apps.
• Deep knowledge of SharePoint Online features: lists, libraries, workflows, permissions.
• Experience with APIs / connectors (REST, JSON, OAuth).
• Experience in Scrum or Agile project delivery with sprint planning/backlog.
• Experience with Copilot Studio or ability to ramp up quickly on AI agent solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with clear documentation.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to design scalable SharePoint and Power Platform solutions.
• Develop and maintain Power Apps, Power Automate flows, and Copilot Studio agents.
• Plan work in sprints, follow Scrum/Agile practices, and ensure timely delivery.
• Document technical deliverables, including specs and user manuals.
• Enforce governance and ALM practices across environments (dev/test/prod).
• Integrate solutions with external systems using connectors and Dataverse.
• Review code, mentor junior developers on design, performance, and security.
• Troubleshoot production automations and resolve user queries within SLAs.

Job description

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Work directly with functional and technical co-workers to understand application and automation requirements, and provide globally scalable and flexible designs and solutions
• Work with business managers and IT leaders to understand project delivery expectations
• Design, develop and maintain SharePoint Out-of-the-Box and Power Platform solutions, including Power Automate flows, Power Apps (canvas and model-driven) and Copilot Studio agents
• Plan and deliver work in sprints and iterations following Scrum and Agile principles
• Define and improve processes to increase system performance and efficiency
• Review and implement best practices within the team to maximize the potential of systems and applications
• Analyze technologies, technical processes and functions, document findings, identify areas for improvement, and create specifications and implement them
• Document all technical deliverables, including user manuals, technical specifications and best practices
• Follow and enforce Power Platform governance and ALM (Application Lifecycle Management) practices, including environment strategy, solution packaging and deployment across development, test and production
• Integrate Power Platform solutions with external systems and APIs using connectors, custom connectors and Dataverse
• Review solutions built by other developers and mentor junior team members on design, performance and security
• Support and troubleshoot production automations, resolving user queries within agreed SLAs

For This Role, You Will Need:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from a recognized, accredited university or institution
• 4+ years of hands-on experience developing applications on SharePoint Online, Power Apps and Power Automate
• Strong hands-on experience and expertise with Power Automate (Microsoft Flow) and Power Apps
• Strong knowledge of SharePoint Online out-of-the-box features, such as lists, libraries, workflows, web parts, master pages and permissions management
• Experience systems through APIs and connectors (REST, JSON, OAuth)
• Experience delivering projects in Scrum or Agile teams, including sprint planning and backlog management
• Practical experience with Copilot Studio or a strong ability to ramp up quickly on AI agent solutions
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to document solutions clearly for technical and non-technical audiences

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

• Exposure to Power BI development
• Basic level of RPA developments using Power Automate Desktop
• Hands-on experience with SQL queries, views and store procedures
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure and the SharePoint Framework (SPFx)
• Experience working in SAFe, Scrum or Agile frameworks for project planning and delivery
• Experience working within an ITIL model to resolve user queries within agreed SLAs
• Microsoft certifications, such as Power Platform Fundamentals, Power Platform App Maker Associate or Power Platform Developer Associate
• Strong communication skills in dealing with internal customers from a range of functional areas
• Fluent in English
