Job summary

National Power Engineering Company is seeking a CAD draftsman to prepare detailed fabrication drawings for steel structures and industrial equipment. You will develop GA, shop, and part drawings from engineering designs, and produce accurate BOMs and cut lists for production.

Ideal candidates will read and interpret engineering drawings, understand welding symbols, and coordinate with engineers and site teams to implement revisions with precision.

Qualifications

• Steel fabrication knowledge and structural detailing are essential.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings accurately.
• Understanding of welding symbols and material specifications is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed fabrication and assembly drawings for steel structures and components using AutoCAD.
• Develop GA drawings, shop drawings, part drawings and detailed fabrication drawings from designs and project needs.
• Prepare cutting lists, material take-offs (MTO), BOMs and fabrication details for production and procurement.
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications and calculations to ensure fabrication feasibility and accuracy.
• Coordinate with design engineers, production teams and site engineers to resolve drawing-related issues and revisions.
• Ensure dimensional accuracy, proper detailing, welding symbols, connection details and adherence to project specs.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop GA drawings, shop drawings, part drawings and detailed fabrication drawings based on engineering designs and project requirements.
• Prepare cutting lists, material take-offs (MTO), BOMs and fabrication details for production and procurement.
• Interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications and design calculations to ensure accuracy and feasibility of fabrication.
• Coordinate with design engineers, production teams and site engineers to resolve drawing-related issues and incorporate necessary revisions.
• Ensure dimensional accuracy, proper detailing, welding symbols, connection details and adherence to project specifications and industry standards.

Key Skills Required

• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD 2D.
• Knowledge of steel fabrication and structural detailing.
