Job summary

A leading engineering company in Kolkata District is seeking a candidate to design joists and steel decks according to industry specifications. A diploma in Civil, Mechanical, or Architectural fields is required along with at least three years of experience. Candidates should be able to work in teams, have a positive attitude, and be willing to travel. Knowledge of Revit Structure is an advantage. Job description

Responsibilities

• Design individual joist members and welds as per the requirements of the latest SJI/CISC/AISC specification
• Design steel joist, joist girders and steel deck usingcomputer software or hand calculation
• Review and depictspecial loading conditions for joist layout purposes
• Provide corrective measures for field repairs
• Provideinput to Project Coordinator (at plant level) for establishing scheduling, priorities and bid proposal for contracts
• Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in an effective manner with co-workers and supervisors
• Perform other job duties as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications

• Diploma inCivil / Mechanical /Architecturalfield
• Experience level, minimum 3 years in a relevant field
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to travel abroad as when required
• Experience in Revit Structure is added advantage
