Job summary

Gradiant is seeking a Piping Designer to contribute to water treatment plant design. You will create conceptual and detailed piping drawings, develop 3D models, and ensure clash-free layouts under senior engineer guidance.

Responsibilities include routing in AutoCAD Plant 3D with P&IDs, preparing GA layouts, isometrics, MTOs, and ensuring compliance with ANSI/ASME/DIN/BS standards. Diploma in mechanical engineering and 3–4 years' piping experience are required.

Qualifications

• Diploma in mechanical engineering.
• 3–4 years of experience in piping design.
• Experience with piping components, valves, instruments, vessels, and other mechanical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide conceptual and detailed design drawings of water treatment plant piping under senior engineers guidance.
• Create piping routing in AutoCAD Plant 3D with respect to P&IDs and optimize skid and plant piping layouts.
• Develop 3D models and ensure clash-free models in coordination with other disciplines.
• Prepare equipment layout, skid piping GA, 2D piping layout, isometrics, MTOs, pipe support drawings, pipe rack design input, and reviews of civil and vendor drawings.
• Ensure compliance with customer specifications for equipment and material types.
• Maintain design quality and technical accuracy of drawings and quantities, with clear written and verbal communication in English.

• Must be capable of providing conceptual as well as detailed design drawings of water treatment plant piping with the help of senior Engineers guidance.
• Requires experience with specification of piping, piping components valves, instruments, vessels, and other mechanical equipment.
• Creating Piping Routing in AutoCAD Plant 3D with respect to Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and optimizing the Skids & Plant piping with the help of senior Engineers guidance.
• Develop 3D Models and ensure clash-free models in coordination with all other discipline requirements.
• Preparation of Equipment layout, Skid piping GA, 2D piping layout, Isometrics, MTOs, pipe support drawings, Pipe rack design input, and Civil and vendor drawing reviews.
• Should have experience with piping design standards with ANSI/IS/ASME piping specifications and layouts for water treatment plants. Must be familiar with relevant design & ASME, IS, DIN, and BS codes.
• Confirm compliance with customer specifications for equipment and material types.
• Good communication skills in the English language with the ability to effectively communicate in both verbal and written correspondence are essential.
• Ensuring engineering and design quality, technical accuracy of drawings, material quantities etc.

Requirements :

• Diploma in mechanical engineering
• Minimum 3-4 years’ experience in relevant field for Piping designer
• Piping Knowledge and AutoCAD Plant 3D / Revit/Autodesk Navis Manager software
