Job summary

KBR Sustainable Technology Solutions, Chennai-based, is seeking a Designer - Piping to join its onshore projects. The role focuses on creating piping designs with S3D and E3D, ensuring design integrity and coordination with the project team.

The ideal candidate holds a diploma in Mechanical or Chemical engineering and has 5–8 years of relevant experience, with proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation and MS Office. Ammonia/Urea experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical or Chemical engineering.
• Proficiency in S3D, MS Office, AutoCAD and MicroStation.
• Knowledge of layout concepts and conceptual studies.
• Experience with support modelling – MDS; drawings generation preferred.
• Good communication skills.
• 05-08 years of experience in piping design.
• Ammonia and Urea experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop unit plot plans/equipment layouts.
• Conduct layout optimization studies.
• Prepare material take-off (MTO).
• Review vendor packages.
