Job summary

Detroit Engineered Products (DEP) in Chennai is seeking a BE/ME Mechanical or Automobile engineer with 1–2 years of CATIA V5/V6 experience to join our design team.

Candidates should have strong core engineering knowledge, be comfortable with drafting and assembly, and have exposure to GD&T. PLM processes exposure is a plus, and good communication with a proactive, team‑oriented mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• BE/ME Mechanical or Automobile degree required.
• 1–2 years of Catia V5/V6 part modelling and drafting experience.
• Strong knowledge of core engineering and design principles.
• Exposure to GD&T is a plus.
• Exposure to PLM tools, methods and processes is a plus.
• Good communication skills, team player, eager to learn and take on responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with design and engineering teams to develop parts and assemblies.
• Prepare and review technical drawings and GD&T annotations.
• Support PLM processes and documentation across projects.
