Job summary

Soga Design Studio in India is seeking a skilled Computational Designer to develop and optimize parametric design solutions for architectural façades and design projects. The role involves creating fabrication-ready models, collaborating with the team, and advancing digital fabrication workflows.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in Rhino 3D, Grasshopper, and AutoCAD, with a strong grasp of architectural geometry and constructability.

Responsibilities

• Develop parametric and computational design solutions using Rhino 3D and Grasshopper for architectural, faade, and design projects.
• Create, modify, and optimize complex geometries, faade systems, and design components through parametric workflows.
• Translate conceptual designs into fabrication-ready 3D models and technical documentation.
• Ensure designs consider material properties, fabrication methods, constructability, and production tolerances.
• Support the design team in developing innovative architectural, product, and installation concepts.
• Research and implement new computational design tools, plugins, and digital fabrication techniques.
• Collaborate with architects, designers, and project stakeholders to deliver creative design solutions.
• Prepare detailed drawings and documentation using AutoCAD and other relevant software.
• Participate in iterative design development, prototyping, and performance optimization of design systems.
