Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of experience in design-to-cost or value engineering roles.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex cost-reduction programs.
• Experience with should-cost analytics, DFMA, teardown studies, and localization initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end Design-to-Cost and Value Engineering projects.
• Identify cost reduction opportunities through product redesign, material optimization, and localization.
• Perform should-cost analysis, teardown studies, benchmarking, and cost-driver analysis.
• Conduct DFMA assessments and develop value-engineering recommendations.
• Manage customer workshops and present cost-saving business cases.
• Collaborate with sourcing teams for supplier benchmarking and localization initiatives.
• Lead cross-functional teams comprising design, FEA, manufacturing, and sourcing engineers.
• Track savings pipeline, implementation status, and realized benefits.
• Support presales, proposals, and capability development in Value Engineering and Cost Engineering domains.

Drive product cost optimization, should-cost analysis, DFMA studies, localization, benchmarking, and value realization programs while working closely with customer engineering, sourcing, manufacturing, and program teams with minimum 15 year of experience.
