Job summary

Apeejay Stya Group is seeking Design Interns for a 3-month full-time internship across Delhi NCR, with extensive travel to campuses. You will work on campus transformation, architectural aesthetics, facade enhancement and environmental design on live institutional projects.

Collaborate with the in-house Design and Architecture team to develop concepts, visualizations and proposals. The internship offers hands-on experience with site visits, concept development, mood boards and indicative cost

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture (B.Arch) or B.Desgn from a recognised institution.
• Strong design portfolio showcasing creativity and design thinking.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Photoshop, Illustrator, Lumion, Inscape or similar software.
• Excellent visual communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Visit assigned Apeejay schools and higher education campuses to understand the existing built environment.
• Conduct detailed visual, internal & external review of buildings, facade, common spaces and outdoor environments.
• Develop innovative concepts to enhance the aesthetic appeal of campus facades and surrounding spaces through non-invasive design interventions.
• Recommend improvements using colour schemes, textures, lighting, graphics, landscaping, public art, signage, street furniture and other architectural elements.
• Prepare concept sketches, mood boards, design presentations, material palettes and 3D visualizations.
• Collaborate closely with the organization's in-house Design and Architecture team to refine concepts and assess implementation feasibility.
• Present campus-wise design proposals, implementation plans and indicative cost estimates.
• Maintain project documentation, site observations and design reports throughout the internship.

Design Intern Campus Transformation & Architectural Aesthetics

Number of Positions: 03 (02 – B.Des (Interior Design), 01 – B.Arch)

Duration: 3 Months (Full-Time)

Location: Delhi NCR (Extensive travel across campuses)

About the Opportunity

We are looking for passionate and creative Design Interns to be part of an exciting Campus Transformation Project across the Apeejay group of schools and higher education institutions.

This internship offers an opportunity to work on live institutional projects involving architectural aesthetics, faade enhancement, campus branding and environmental design. You will help reimagine existing educational spaces by creating visually engaging, functional and sustainable design solutions—without involving major structural changes or invasive construction.

Working alongside experienced professionals, you will contribute ideas that shape the visual identity of some of India's leading educational institutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Visit assigned Apeejay schools and higher education campuses to understand the existing built environment.

Eligibility

• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture (B.Arch.)or B.Desgn from a recognized institution.
• Candidates with demonstrated strength or special interest in Architectural Design, Environmental Design, Urban Design, Faade Design or Interior Design will be preferred.
• Strong design portfolio showcasing creativity and design thinking.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Photoshop, Illustrator, Lumion, Inscape or similar design software.
• Excellent visual communication and presentation skills.

Travel Requirement

This role involves extensive travel across Apeejay campuses. Candidates must be willing and comfortable travelling regularly to different locations during the internship for site visits, documentation and design reviews.

• A comprehensive presentation covering recommendations for all assigned campuses
