Job summary

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) seeks a Design Engineer for Siemens NX to lead CAD design, modelling, and surface development for complex parts and assemblies. You will craft detailed 3D models, manufacturing drawings, and Class-A surfaces while ensuring GD&T compliance and data integrity in our PLM system.

The role emphasizes collaboration with engineering and project teams to interpret customer specs, manage documentation, and release drawings.

Qualifications

• Experience in Siemens NX CAD design and product development.
• Proficient in modelling and advanced surfacing in Siemens NX.
• Experience in creating and modifying complex 3D parts, assemblies, and drawings.
• Strong understanding of Class-A/B/C surfaces and surface quality checks.
• Familiar with GD&T per ASME/ISO and BOM creation.
• Exposure to PLM systems, preferably Teamcenter.
• Good interpretation of customer specs and design standards.

Responsibilities

• Design in Siemens NX CAD for components and assemblies.
• Develop complex 3D parts, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings.

Design Engineer - Siemens NX

Role & responsibilities

• Experience in Siemens NX CAD design and product development.


• Strong hands-on expertise in Siemens NX Modelling, Advanced Surfacing, Drafting, Assembly, and Sheet Metal modules.


• Experience in creating and modifying complex 3D parts, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings.


• Proficient in Surface Modelling including Class-A, Class-B, and Class-C surface development.


• Strong understanding of surface quality checks using Zebra, Curvature, Reflection, and Draft Analysis.


• Experience in Plastic Component Design with features such as ribs, bosses, snap-fits, clips, locators, and draft requirements.


• Experience in Sheet Metal Design including flanges, bends, hems, embosses, cut-outs, louvers, and flat pattern generation.


• Ability to create detailed engineering drawings with GD&T as per ASME/ISO standards.


• Working knowledge of PLM systems, preferably Teamcenter.


• Ability to interpret customer specifications, design standards, and technical requirements.


• Knowledge of BOM creation, drawing release, and design documentation management.


• Exposure to Industrial Equipment, Consumer Products, or Heavy Engineering domains is preferred.


• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.


• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.
